A free program with a trained facilitator and child care staff. Single mothers of young children are welcome to meet at the New Westminster Family Place for one session a week. There are 10 sessions between September – December, January – March and April – June.

Provides an outreach program for pregnant women of all ages living in Vancouver or Richmond. Services offered include nutrition and prenatal lifestyle counselling, prenatal vitamins, breastfeeding information, food coupons, labour and delivery information, community referrals, education about smoking, alcohol or drug concerns, prenatal and parent/infant groups for new moms, dads and babies. Home visits are available. Groups held at various locations throughout Vancouver and

Richmond. Aboriginal Support Worker also available. Eligible for pregnant women and their partners, who live in the Vancouver/Richmond areas. Services and materials available in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Dari, Farsi, French, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Spanish, Somali, Swahili, and Vietnamese. Interpreters available. Many of the groups run in languages other than English.

This site offers you a free online 8 week free parenting course online called Mommy Moments. Participants receive one mom email per week that guides you with practical parenting tips that work to solve common parenting frustrations and provides child development strategies that work.

Available to all parents/care givers with young children 0 -6 years who live in Surrey. This program is designed to support parents with young children. The program provides Support and Education groups at various locations in Surrey which tackle topics from anger management to child

development. These are 6 week groups and are offered 4 times a year. Free childcare is provided. There is also one to one support with a community counsellor is needed.
