This year, the Dutch NCP EQAVET organised the QualityTIME seminar. The event drew 91 participants from the EU. The Dutch NCP EQAVET also gave various national and international presentations and workshops in the past year.

National Meeting of the MBO Council Quality Assurance Network

10 February 2011, Woerden (Netherlands)

This was a meeting for network members/institution represen- tatives. The Dutch NCP EQAVET gave a presentation on providing project funding information for quality improvements at national level.

Quality Assurance and Accreditation in lifelong learning

24 – 25 February 2011, Berlin (Germany)

The main topic was accreditation and other mechanisms for both internal and external quality assurance in education. Cedefop organised the Expert Seminar. The Dutch Education Inspectorate took part on behalf of the Dutch NCP EQAVET.

Internationalisation Steering Committee Meeting

17 March 2011, The Hague (Netherlands)

The Steering Committee, which focuses on the international context of vocational education in the Netherlands, heard a presentation by the Dutch NCP EQAVET on EQAVET activities.

2nd EQAVET Annual Forum

31 March – 1 April 2011, Budapest (Hungary)

The main themes were the EQAVET EU policy context, Europe 2020 targets, the role of VET providers, and the current status of the QALLL Thematic Network.

Partner Meeting for the Romanian EQAVET project

16 – 18 May 2011, Bucharest (Romania)

Agreements were made with the Romanian, Austrian and Italian partners concerning their contribution to the project.

Quality Assurance in the healthcare sector

23 May 2011, Stavanger, (Norway)

The first sector-specific seminar covering current issues, for example prospects for trainers in healthcare, opportunities and threats. One suggestion was to introduce alternative civilian service in the healthcare and wellbeing sectors as a substitute for military service.

Quality in the Vocational and Adult Education Sector, MBO Academie conference

20 June 2011, Nijmegen (Netherlands)

Two of the workshops during the conference covered “Quality and Supervision” and “Quality Assurance from an institutional perspective”. The Dutch NCP EQAVET set up an information stand during the conference.

QualityTIME event

28 September 2011, Rotterdam (Netherlands) How can quality assurance truly serve VET- students? This question was main topic of the Quality Time event, organized by the NCP EQAVET in collaboration with the advisory group EQAVET. At the event over 80 stakeholders discussed about quality assurance in vocational education in the Netherlands.

After an an introduction on the background of EQAVET participants were introduced to various European good practices. Five priorities were standing central during the event.

EVEnt In thE SPotLIght

Standardization and Contextualisation

14 – 15 July 2011, Vienna (Austria)

A synergy-building seminar for the five projects selected to promote the national development and implementation of EQAVET in the Member States. The NLQAVET project is one of these five projects. The main aim of the seminar was to generate synergies between the five projects.

Quality Assurance Study Visit

25 September 2011, Utrecht (Netherlands)

A seven-person delegation from six EU Member States visited various institutions and attended presentations on the Dutch quality assurance system. The Dutch NCP EQAVET welcomed the group and provided information on relevant activities in the Netherlands.

CompetentCity

4 October 2011, Ede (Netherlands)

Quality for the future: quality in everyday practice! This workshop asked participants to look at quality assurance in their own work through the “magnifying glass” of EQAVET. Information was provided on national and international trends, inviting the participants to relate these to their own work.

Joint Seminar: Building synergies between EQAVET, EQF and ECVET

14 November 2011, Bonn (Germany)

The focus was on guaranteeing the quality of VET qualifications and the contribution of EU instruments to defining and redefining standards based on learning outcomes.

EQAVET National Reference Points’ meeting

17 – 18 November 2011, Brussel (Belgium)

A meeting of all EQAVET NCPs. The meeting consisted of an update on the political context, project presentations on quality assurance, and a review of the joint ECVET-EQF seminar and follow-up steps.

Reaching mutual trust, Quality Assurance that Works

28 November 2011, Bonn (Germany)

In addition to papers by various keynote speakers on the added value of quality assurance, participants discussed such topics as quality standards, quality assurance and mobility, and continuing professional development for teachers.
