The field of Criminal Justice centers on the control of criminal behavior in the maintenance of public order and includes the primary functions of law enforcement, prosecution, trial, corrections and associated responsibilities. Brighton College’s career development programs are designed to meet the needs of legal professionals. The program is structured around core criminal justice classes on such topics as law enforcement, the judicial process, juvenile justice,
Brighton College School Catalog 2015 Page 41 corrections and probation, and criminal law and procedure. The program provides an
interdisciplinary approach to understanding the complex and pluralistic society we live in by explaining the concepts of social control and resolutions available in criminal justice, including current procedures and future changes.
The objective of the Diploma in Criminal Justice diploma is to provide insight into the criminal justice system. It is structured around core criminal justice courses on such topics as America’s court system, the judicial process, constitutional law, criminal law, criminal procedure, laws of evidence, criminal investigation, forensic science, ethics, corrections and juvenile delinquency. This Diploma in Criminal Justice is not a degree level program. The courses completed within this program earn college credit and may be eligible to transfer into the Associate Degree in Criminal Justice program at Brighton College.
Students enrolling in the diploma program may already have a bachelor’s degree and want to expand their career opportunity or want to change careers altogether.

Brighton College has a The Associate of Science in Business Technical Sales degree program prepares students for an entry level position in business sales and service. The program is designed to benefit students who have a strong interest in a particular field and would like to work in sales or customer service related to that industry. The program combines basic
business principles as well as competence in sales, customer service and marketing. Graduates can either use their degree to obtain a position in a variety of sales and or customer service positions, advance in their present position in sales or customer service, or they may choose to pursue further study in business and/or technical sales.
The Associate of Science in Business Management degree program prepares students for an entry level position in business. The program is designed to benefit students who have a strong interest in a particular field and would like to advance in their current position or who would like to gain a competitive advantage over other candidates having earned an associate degree. The program combines basic business principles as well as competence in management, marketing, technology, and human resources. Students may personalize their degree program in business management by choosing elective courses on a particular career focus area. According to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics,

Occupations in the associate degree category are projected to grow the fastest, at about 19 percent.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, customer service representatives held about 2.3 million jobs in 2008, ranking among the largest occupations. They can be found in almost every industry, although about 23 percent worked in the finance and insurance industry. Another 15 percent worked in the administrative and support services industry, which includes third party telephone call centers. Customer service representatives are expected to experience a faster than average growth. Furthermore, job prospects should be good as many workers who leave this very large occupation will need to be replaced. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics employment of customer service representatives is expected to grow by about 18 percent over the 2008-18 periods, faster than the average for all occupations. This very large occupation is projected to provide about 400,000 new jobs over the next decade.
