communication, through a medium, between this world and the spirit-physical worlds. This communication takes place on the psychic level. True spiritualism does not believe in reincarnation. It was started in New York by the Fox sisters during the middle part of the past century, and grew largely through the expository efforts of Andrew Jackson Davis.
The departed Soul goes to what the Spiritualistic philosophy calls “The Summerland.” It is a region between the earth spheres and the first region of the pure astral plane.
14. Christianity: This is the best known religion in the Western world. It was created by St. Paul, who sold the teachings of Jesus Christ to the world according to his conception of what Christianity might be. He was not a follower of Christ in the beginning, nor did he ever know Him. As with many other religions, the words of the original leader have not been given to the world in their true light. Christianity has given a great deal of satisfaction to
millions of followers, yet it has had its failures like all religious groups. Its book is the New Testament, containing the Gospels, which are based on the teachings of love and right action. The living leader, Jesus Christ, placed His spiritual heritage in the hands of Simon Peter, but after his departure the line of spiritual masters passed away.
Christianity speaks somewhat of the sound and light but these references are vague. The Word, which is the physical manifestation of the VARDAN, is stated forthrightly in the Gospel of John, but it can hardly be found anywhere else.
Religions are formal teachings belonging to the growth of certain races during corresponding periods of human thought and evolution. Each religion served its own purpose in its own day and time. But each must give way to something more complete as humanity advances.
Throughout human history the basic reason for any and all religions has been an effort to know and understand God, but only a few have succeeded.
Man has yet to learn that his desires bind him to the object of his desires. VARDAN says the chela must have complete detachment from every worldly object, to avoid bondage to the things of the material worlds. Anyone who looks for rewards in this world will become a slave to such rewards. He gets most by giving most; by receiving one impoverishes himself.
The VARDAN is the way to God. This is our basic teaching. Whenever men pursue creeds, priests and organization, they will find a religion of some sort but never the Way to enter the Kingdom of God as stated by the great VARDAN Masters.
So many have the misconception that moral goodness is a requirement for spiritual salvation. This is not true. Moral goodness comes only from spiritual salvation.
The main teaching of VARDANKAR is that if the chela faithfully practices the spiritual exercises, he will enter the Kingdom of Heaven while still living in the human body.
This is the fundamental difference between VARDAN and all other religions. Also, VARDAN alone offers a living leader, for as spiritual law clearly states: “The chela in a human body must have a Master in the human body.”
Any system that does not make the VARDAN the central theme of its spiritual exercises can never withstand the downward drag of mind and matter. Without the VARDAN in his life the chela cannot journey very far on the road to the Kingdom of God. Every advanced chela will attest that there is no spiritual freedom for anyone until he learns to follow the Living VARDAN Master. The Margatma is a spiritual liberator. He does not work through a spiritualist medium, nor is he the world builder so many religions make of their leaders. The living Master is here to take a personal interest in all who desire to find the way home to God via the VARDAN path.
The cardinal principle of spiritual law is the necessity of the Living VARDAN Master, appointed by the HURAY to represent the Kingdom of God in this world. This means that only one who is still in the physical body can be appointed. It is a fixed law that only the Margatma in his human body can act as the Master for those still in their human bodies. Only man can teach man, and only man can initiate man. The departed VARDAN Master will take care of all whom he has initiated, but he does not accept any new disciples. This is not a limitation of his powers; it is the chela himself who is so limited he cannot receive instructions and initiation from an invisible Master. If the departed Master could take care of new disciples, there would be no need for Masters at all on the physical level.
The HURAY could do all the work without assistance. But man cannot be taught by any other agency than another in a physical embodiment.
A humanly embodied Master is necessary because of the limitations of the chela. That difficulty cannot be surmounted in any possible way except for God to manifest Itself in human form.
The next fundamental point of VARDAN is the VARDAN Life Stream. The Living VARDAN Masters have emphasized this sound current as the cornerstone of Tuza Travel. It is nothing more than the Supreme Deity projecting Itself to all planes in all universes in a constant wave of harmonious and musical vibrations, through which flows the life-giving and creative, all-comprehensive Power of God.
Complete liberation and spiritual freedom gained while living in the physical body is the third VARDAN principle.
It is not necessary to wait until after death to attain freedom, as most religions tell us. This is the failure of those religions and the triumph of VARDANKAR. This freedom is achieved by the spiritual exercises of VARDAN, and if they are not begun during this life spiritual liberation cannot be accomplished after death.
The fourth precept is that one who cannot initiate and lead the chela into the inner worlds, is not a Living VARDAN Master. Initiation is essential for no one can travel very far without it, and the Living VARDAN Master is the only one who can give it.
The great links in the chain of spiritual salvation are: the Living VARDAN Master, the VARDAN Life Stream, and spiritual liberation. This is the way to God via the path of VARDAN.
