SOURCE Non-Exclusive Distribution Licence
This Agreement covers current and future submissions of the Work(s) that you, the author/creator of the Work(s), contribute to SOURCE, Sheridan’s institutional
repository.
License Grant
For Work(s) to which I own copyright or have permission from the rights holder to self-archive a copy, I grant to Sheridan:
• A perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce and distribute the Work(s) on SOURCE and any of its successors under these terms and conditions:
o The Work(s) will be made available for public access on the Internet under the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0 International license, to which I would retain copyright ownership but permit users to access, reproduce and distribute the Work(s) with attribution and for non- commercial and non-derivative purposes; and
o The Work(s) will be permanently archived on SOURCE, subject to the discretion of the SOURCE Team
Contributor Warranties
I represent and warrant that:
• I have the right to grant the licence covered in this agreement OR give
permission to the Library to assist in verifying my right to deposit or self-archive the Work(s) in an institutional repository such as SOURCE;
• I am responsible for informing all other rights holder(s), if applicable, my contribution of the Work(s) to SOURCE and granting of the licence covered in this agreement;
• To the best of my knowledge and belief, any third-party content in the Work(s) is either in the public domain, is used with permission from the copyright holder and appropriately acknowledged, or is used through a valid exception in the Canadian Copyright Act;
• Licenced material, such as material provided through the Sheridan Library and Learning Services databases, is used according to the permitted uses of the licence;
• The Work(s) do not, to the best of my knowledge and belief, contain any libelous or other unlawful matter and does not violate anyone's right to privacy; and
• I will respond to requests related to uses of my material outside of the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0 International license.
Personal Information Release
I agree that in order to have Work(s) published to SOURCE:
• The Work(s), my name, Sheridan e-mail, and Digital Commons account
password, should I choose to activate an account, will be stored on servers in the United States provided by bepress, the company hosting the Digital
Commons platform on which SOURCE resides, and subject to the laws of that country.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
I agree that:
• This Agreement and all questions of construction, validity and performance under this Agreement shall be governed by Ontario law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ontario courts.
Release and Indemnification
I acknowledge that:
• I have read and understood the SOURCE Non-Exclusive Distribution Licence and have indicated my understanding and agreement by choosing the “YES” option and sending this document to the SOURCE Team.
