WOR was the newest recording studio, opened just two years ago. The ensemble cut eight tunes, released as "Rainbow at Midnight" b/w "The Bottom Fell Out of the Sky." They spread their knowledge and love of this music to the rest of the force.

It was a Saturday night show produced by David Stone, the original announcer of the Grand Ole Opry. OK...I was born in the "heart of the west" and a cold part of the west - good old Saskatchewan.27. It was the radio network of the United States Armed Forces, a branch of the Morale Service Division.

In terms of music, the most important artists of the time contributed live performances or previously recorded tunes. CKRC was an anchor of the first western network with ten stations including CJRL (Kenora), CKX (Brandon), CIGX (Yorkton), CKRM (Regina), CHAB (Moose Jaw), CFQC (Saskatoon), CFCN (Calgary), CFRN (Edmonton), CFGP (Grande Prairie) and CKBI (Prince Albert). The CBC was determined to establish a presence in the Prairie provinces shortly after the beginning of the new medium. Stu Davis and Blue Ribbon's combined interest in the Canadian West should make the "Stu Davis Show" one of the most popular on the air. Davis and Winnipeg CBC-TV producer Jack Phillips started the first incarnation of the Stu Davis Show in 1956.

Fred Roy, a writer for Music World, probably had the most comprehensive overview of the state of Canada's country music community and its place in the wider world. One of Davis' true radio highlights in 1959 was an appearance by the country humor duo Homer &. For five years, it would be the most popular show on CBC to come from the Prairies.

Stu Davis gave viewers a taste of the 'western' side of country music with his covers. Cover of The Stu Davis Show: A Collection of Your Requests (The Pathfinders: . l. to r. Alfie Myre, Wally MacDonald, Duane Davis, Stu Davis) (London Records, LP) 1966. STU DAVIS is a Canadian "true " in every sense of the word, being born on DOMINION DAY – July 1st.

Duane seemed to be constantly by his father's side throughout most of the 1960s, appearing prominently on The Stu Davis Show and on the Trail Riding Troubadour.
