Editor’s Note

This issue presents an invited paper “Handshape recognition for Argentinian Sign Language using ProbSom” focusing automatic sign language recognition as an important topic within the areas of human-computer interaction and machine learning.

Also six articles related to Education, Cloud Computing, IT technologies, Real Time systems and Software reengineering are presented, including authors from different universities.

Besides, this issue includes 2 overviews of Ph.D thesis:

− “Fault Tolerance in Multicore Clusters. Techniques to Balance Performance and Dependability” − “Performance analysis and optimization of parallel Best-First Search algorithms on multicore and

cluster of multicore”

and information of the “IV Jornadas de Cloud Computing y Big Data” (JCC&BD 2016) and the “XXII Congreso Argentino de Ciencias de la Computación” (CACIC 2016).

By offering this issue to the readership, we specially thank the members of the Editorial staff, the authors and reviewers and, also, the universities that collaborated with the Journal of Computing science and Technology.
