The presentations at Mass these past two weekends have focused on the exterior structural condition of our Church and the need for repairs.
As you heard, this comes at a cost:
$2.1 million dollars. Our "Save the Steeples" capital campaign has thus far raised $922,369. or about half of the amount we will need.
A partial list of the major repairs includes: repair of the wood, re- glazing, and painting of the large rose window facing New Jersey Street, new exterior doors, replacement of belfry slats, repair and replacement of lime- stone around the building, tuckpoint- ing of the entire church, and chemical cleaning of the exterior to remove years of grime and stain. Imagine how beautiful St. Mary will look when it's restored to its original condi- tion. You can make that happen.
Please reflect what you can do financially to assist in raising the bal- ance we need. These gifts can be pledged and given as a onetime gift, or weekly, monthly, etc. over three years. You can also donate on-line thru "WE SHARE."
Currently, we have 900 families and we're growing at about 17% a year. If all work TOGETHER, our goal is attainable. Let us pray for God's blessing on our efforts!

If you borrowed these or acci- dently took them home, please return them as soon as possible. Continually replacing these items is costly.

Safe and Sacred
As part of our commitment to the safety of children, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis requires that all volunteers age 18 and older who have contact with children complete a child protection program called Safe and Sacred. It pro- vides on-line training in both English and Spanish and in- cludes a background check and agreement to the Archdio- cese Code of Conduct. The course can be completed in 45 minutes. You can access the Safe and Sacred program at www.safeandsacred-archindy.org. If you need assis- tance in completing the course, please contact the Parish Office.
