INTRODUCTION

The University Master's Degree in Strategies and Technologies for the Teaching Function in the Multicultural Society (ESTRATIC), is framed in the official titles of Research Master of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The training program covers two areas: (1) Teacher training in multicultural society and (2) Strategies and technologies for education and knowledge.

Teacher training in multicultural society

It focuses on the specialized training of teachers and other education professionals in the teaching-didactic function in a multicultural society. This Master gathers the consolidated experience in doctoral courses and current lines of research, which have borne fruit in numerous doctoral theses, projects and publications of the Group and Research:

Professional development: training and educational and intercultural innovation and media design (Ref: UNED -125).

Some of the lines of research that are promoted are: Didactic models, methods and processes, application of teaching-learning strategies, emotional intelligence, and knowledge management, by the education professional in multicultural settings.

Strategies and technologies for education and knowledge

It focuses on the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in teacher and professional training of educational institutions in the context of the knowledge society.

Among the lines of research that are promoted stand out the design, development and evaluation of technological resources that offer innovative alternatives for the improvement of teaching and research activities in multicultural environments.

OBJECTIVES AND COMPETENCES

Objectives

Develop models, methods and processes for the construction of an intercultural climate and for the integral improvement of teachers and training institutions.

Promote didactic updating through a rigorous scientific methodology.

Provide teachers with content and teaching methods, through a scientific line of research work, to be teachers of the 21st century, who teach students of the 21st century with strategies, means and resources of the 21st century.

Select resources for updating and innovation in teaching and research work.

Use technologies to improve the training process of their own students, and to deepen their research, teaching and management work.

Contribute to personal development and social justice in the use of media in multicultural contexts.

Prepare the Final Master's Project as the culmination of the research training process.

Basic skills

CB01 - Possess and understand knowledge that provides a basis or opportunity to be original in the development and / or application of ideas, often in a research context.

CB02 - That students know how to apply the acquired knowledge and their ability to solve problems in new or little-known environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study.

CB03 - That students are able to integrate knowledge and face the complexity of formulating judgments from information that, being incomplete or limited, includes reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments.

CB04 - That students know how to communicate their conclusions and the latest knowledge and reasons that support them to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous way.

CB05 - That students possess the learning skills that allow them to continue studying in a way that will have to be largely self-directed or autonomous.

CE01 - Understand the educational training framework in diverse learning contexts.

CE02 - Acquire practical teaching and research knowledge for the continuous improvement of institutions and their educational processes in multicultural and technological

environments.

CE04 - Develop techniques and processes for inquiry, reflection and analysis in intercultural and technological contexts.

CE05 - Generate facilitating strategies for quality teaching-learning processes in educational institutions.

CE06 - Contribute to the creation of versatile educational centers that favor an innovative climate and culture in technological environments.

CE07 - Implement the phases of educational research methodology and the use of computer applications for analysis and decision-making to improve teaching action research.

CE08 - Design, develop, apply and integrate didactic and technological means and resources that contribute to autonomous and collaborative learning in the curricular field.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

The ESTRATIC Master is aimed at the training of professionals who master the strategies and technologies for the teaching function in the multicultural society addressed from different areas:

"Teacher training in multicultural society" through specialized training of teachers and education professionals in the teaching-teaching role in a multicultural society.

"Strategies and technologies for education and knowledge" considering the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in teacher training and professionals of educational institutions in the context of the knowledge society.

In accordance with Royal Decree 1393/2007, which establishes the organization of university education, this Master's degree allows access to Doctoral studies.

It is of interest to know the AlumniUNED Project as a community of UNED graduates, where graduates can continue in contact with our university and participate in various activities, some of them referring to professional opportunities.

ACCESS PREREQUISITES

1) Degree / Bachelor in Education, Pedagogy, Educational Sciences, Social Education and Psychopedagogy. As a related area: Psychology. Direct access of 60 ECTS from the ESTRATIC Master [previous selection process]

2) Diploma in Social Education and Teaching [access by leveling]. Leveling Course of 60 ECTS (30 ECTS from the ESTRATIC Master and 30 ECTS from the Master in Innovation and Research of the Faculty of Education) and 60 ECTS from the direct access Master.

3) Degree / Bachelor's degree in careers NOT related to education [access by adaptation].

Adaptation Course of 40 ECTS (30 ECTS from the ESTRATIC Master and 10 from the Master in Innovation and Research of the Faculty of Education). Students with a Pedagogical Aptitude Course or a Secondary Master must take 30 ECTS of the adaptation subjects offered by the ESTRATIC Master and 60 ECTS from the Direct Access Master.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

In order for your application to be evaluated, you must provide the following documents in the Pre-registration application in PDF format:

Access title, Certificate of Title or Official Academic Certification stating that you have paid Title rights.

Personal Academic Certification, official document containing the Average Grade of your file.

Curriculum vitae

Supporting documents for valuation purposes. You must provide in a single PDF document all Certificates, Diplomas, Titles, etc. mentioned in the Form and / or Curriculum Vitae so that they can be assessed by the Master's Assessment Commission.

Pre-registration form. It must be completed and submitted in the application itself.

No need to scan "color" or high resolution documentation.

The procedure for the admission of students will be carried out by the Coordination Commission. If the number of applications exceeds the number of places offered, the

Academic record (80%) of degrees reflected in the access criteria. It is determined through the average mark.

Professional/teaching experience (10%). No qualification practices or professional experience not related to the scope of the Master will be considered. The affinity of the experience to the field of the master and the intensity (years of experience) will be assessed.

Mastery of technological competence and participation in intercultural experiences (5%).

Languages, publications/contributions in education conferences, and participation in projects (5%).

documentation provided by each applicant. In the absence of supporting documentation, they may not be recorded.

Up to 60 students will be admitted.

CURRICULUM

The Study Plan of the ESTRATIC Master is structured in common (compulsory) and optional subjects that are studied in the First Semester (1C) and Second Semester (2C), in addition to the Master's Final Project (TFM), compulsory and annual.

Common/compulsory subjects (25 ECTS) + Optional subjects (23 ECTS) + TFM (12 ECTS) = 60 ECTS

In the first year, it is required to enroll a minimum of 20 ECTS credits.

The Master's Final Project requires consulting the conditions of the TUTELA TFM modality in advance.

Regardless of the type of enrollment, the TFM subject is enabled from the first semester, in which the assignment of a tutor will be requested.

The student has access to the generic skills course of the library that is activated when enrolled in the TFM.

PRACTICES

This Master Degree does not have practices in educational institutions.

OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION

In accordance with current legislation, all universities must submit their official degrees to a verification, monitoring, and accreditation process.

In the case of UNED, the University Council receives the memory of the degree and sends it to ANECA for its evaluation and issuance of the Verification Report. If the report is favorable, the Council of Universities dictates the Verification Resolution, and the Ministry of Education submits to the Government the official proposal of the degree, orders its inclusion in the Registry of Universities, Centers and Degrees (RUCT) and its subsequent publication in the Official State Gazette.

Official master's degrees must renew their accreditation before four years from their verification or from the date of their last accreditation, in order to check whether the results obtained are adequate to guarantee the continuity of their teaching. If they are adequate, the

University Council issues a Resolution accrediting the degree.

These resolutions and reports are included in the Registry of Universities, Centers, and Degrees (RUCT).

INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM FOR THE TITLE

The UNED has an Internal Quality Assurance System (SGIC-U) that covers all its official degrees, masters, and doctorates, as well as the services it offers, the design of which was certified by ANECA.

The SGIC-U includes all the processes necessary to ensure the quality of its teaching staff, resources and services for students: access, admission, and reception, external internships, mobility programs, academic orientation and job placement, monitoring, and evaluation of training results, attention to suggestions and complaints and the adequacy of support staff, among others.

¿El máster tiene especialidades? Este Máster NO tiene especialidades, si bien las asignaturas están distribuidas en varios bloques sin que se refleje en el título al finalizar.

¿Cuáles son los requisitos de acceso?, ¿Qué significan los distintos tipos de acceso:

directo, nivelación y adaptación? Los requisitos de acceso permiten consultar las titulaciones afines, de las que depende que sea directo o por nivelación/adaptación (ver pestaña: "Requisitos de acceso).

¿Cuáles son los criterios de admisión? La información sobre los criterios de admisión se encuentra disponible en la pestaña: "Criterios de Admisión".

¿Cuándo comienza el máster? El máster comienza con el curso académico, en octubre.

¿Se puede realizar en un año? Depende del tipo de acceso al máster. Sería posible administrativamente únicamente si el acceso es por la modalidad “directo” (ver apartado requisitos de acceso). Si el acceso es directo es factible titular el máster en un año, obviamente dependerá de la dedicación de cada estudiante (situación personal, si compatibiliza trabajo y estudios, etc.).

¿Qué asignaturas tengo que cursar? ¿qué asignaturas son obligatorias y optativas?

¿El máster tienen prácticas en instituciones educativas (practicum)? No, este máster no tiene prácticas.

¿El máster tiene exámenes presenciales en febrero, junio y septiembre? No, dentro de los 60 ECTS específicos del máster (por acceso directo) no se contemplan pruebas

presenciales. No obstante, sí podrán plantearse desde los Equipos Docentes pruebas de evaluación online. En el caso de algunas asignaturas correspondientes al acceso al Máster por Nivelación/Adaptación tiene exámenes presenciales.

¿El máster tiene sesiones presenciales en los Centros Asociados? No, este máster se cursa a distancia, con la metodología propia de la UNED, a través de los medios y recursos propios de la plataforma virtual de aprendizaje de nuestra universidad. Obviamente, los Centros Asociados suponen una gran riqueza para los estudiantes, por su vida académica, su biblioteca y recursos, sus actividades, etc.

¿Cómo se lleva a cabo el Trabajo Fin de Máster (TFM)? El TFM (12 ECTS) se desarrolla con la supervisión de un tutor/a de TFM. La Comisión Académica del título asigna a los tutores/as de TFM en el mes de noviembre, en la confluencia entre los intereses de los estudiantes y las líneas de investigación del profesorado, dentro siempre de los ámbitos del título.

Para la defensa del TFM el estudiante debe haber superado previamente las asignaturas del Máster y disponer, por tanto, de todos los créditos necesarios para la obtención del título de Máster, salvo los correspondientes al propio TFM (12 ECTS).

El TFM se defiende en sesión pública, pudiendo ser en modalidad presencial en la Facultad de Educación de la UNED (Calle Juan del Rosal, 14) o bien por videoconferencia desde uno de los Centros Asociados de la UNED (previa solicitud).

•¿Qué hay que tener en cuenta antes de realizar la matrícula en el TFM? A la hora de realizar la matrícula hay una opción para el TFM que se denomina TUTELA (sin realizar el pago) que permitiría en caso de no poder realizar la DEFENSA en ese curso volver a matricularse al siguiente y ya realizar el pago pendiente.
