“For unto us a Child is born a Son is given”
“Se nos ha dado un Hijo, nos ha nacido un Salvador”
Dear Friends in Christ,
It is Christmas, a time to remind each other again of what Almighty God has done for the world: He gave
us His only Son, Jesus! The world with its lights, festivities and celebrations, even if it is inadvertently,
reminds those of us of faith that Jesus is the ‘reason for the season.’ And the church, very intentionally celebrates the
birth of Jesus through the liturgy, and reaffirms the fact that Jesus is indeed the ‘reason for the season.”
I want to thank each one of you for the ways through which you have expressed so much love for your parish
community and for me as your pastor. To the many of you who are involved in a minister of service, church cleaners,
sacristans, lectors, eucharist ministers, choir members, ushers, employees, St. Vincent de Paul, Nights of Columbus,
Labor Day Ministers, House of Mercy Ministers, altar servers, and adoration of the blessed sacrament members. To
the many donors and volunteers that with your time, talent and money have made possible that our church is kept as a
worthy place of worship. Thank You! May you know that Christ is the reason of your ministry. Also, thank you for all
your gifts and good wishes that I personally have received from you. Thank You!
My Christmas prayer is that you may continue to enjoy the love of God in Jesus; that you may enjoy health and
spiritual grace to continue to believe that God is with us, ‘for unto us a Child is born a Son is given.”

Queridos Hermanos en Cristo,
Navidad es un tiempo en el cual recordamos lo que Dios Todopoderoso ha hecho por el mundo: ¡Él nos dio a su
úni-co Hijo Jesús! El mundo úni-con sus luces, festividades y celebraciones, aunque sin saberlo, también está reúni-cordándonos
que Jesús es el motivo de nuestra celebración. Y la Iglesia muy intencionalmente celebra el nacimiento de Jesús en la
Liturgia de su Natividad reafirmando esta realidad que Jesús es el único motivo de nuestra celebración.
Quiero expresarles a todos y a cada uno de ustedes mi agradecimiento por todo lo que ustedes son y hacen por esta
comunidad y por mi como su párroco. A los miembros de todos los ministerios de nuestra parroquia: limpiadores de
la Iglesia, sacristanes, lectores, ministros de eucaristía, coro, hospitalidad, empleados, San Vicente de Paul,
Multiplicación de alimentos, casa de la misericordia, acólitos, miembros de la adoración al Santísimo Sacramento. A
todos los voluntarios y contribuyentes que con su tiempo, talento y dinero hacen posible que nuestra Iglesia sea un
lugar digno de adorar a Dios. ¡Muchas Gracias! ¡Sepan que todo lo que hacen lo hacen por Jesús quien es la razón
de nuestra celebración! También le agradezco a todos por sus regalos y tarjetas de Navidad que me han mandado.
Mi deseo de Navidad es que usted siga disfrutando del amor de Dios en Jesús; que tenga mucha salud física y gracia
espiritual para seguir creyendo que Dios esta con nosotros, “porque se nos ha dado un Hijo y nos ha nacido un
Salvador.” Feliz Navidad!

Next week there will be Adoration to the Blessed Sacrament to welcome in the new year. It will be on Sunday December 31st at 7:00 pm in the church.

Breakfast/Desayuno
The Knights of Columbus breakfast will be on January 7th in the gym from 10am—11:30am.
