Feast Day: March 8
St. John of God
St. John of God lived through decades of sinand suffering before a profound conversion led him to embrace poverty, humility and charity. Formerly a shepherd and soldier, he was so moved by the sermons of the mystic John of Avila, that he decided to give the rest of his life to
God’s service. He established a house where he tended to the needs of the sick and poor. Behind John’s outward acts of total concern and
love for Christ’s sick poor was a deep interior prayer life which was reflected in his spirit of humility. These qualities attracted helpers who,
after John’s death, formed the Brothers Hospitallers, now a worldwide religious order that maintains hospitals throughout the world.
WELCOME BACK TO CHURCH
This weekend we will go back to the church and also have an opportunity for an overflow to hear Mass outside under tents next to the
church. We have to maintain social distance, obviously use masks, and use the hand sanitizer as you enter. We still have to ask your name and phone number. Thanks be to God we only once had to notify people at a
funeral because the daughter of the deceased found out after the Mass that she was positive. That was the only case in over a year that we have had this protocol. Unfortunately, we are still under that protocol.
You have been really very co-operative and I truly appreciate that. Hopefully, if the trend continues, we will be back to normal. So be it.
WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL
As the public schools are arguing when to let the students come back to school, beginning this
week we will have on campus students to the 6th Grade from beginning at pre-school. We are
following all the protocols that allow us to open our school. We have invested several thousand dollars to make the school an even safer improvement. We sanitize the rooms and the
re-strooms on an exact schedule several times a day. We bought two portable hand-washers that the children use outside when they Þnish playing. I feel very good and proud of the work that our principal and faculty have done to accommodate our children. If I had a child I would not hesitate to send the child to our school. For further information about registration even for this year call: (323) 261-5750 or (323) 268-1141 and leave a message.
normalidad.
Me
