CONFECCIÓN Y REMATE
Hilvanar todo alrededor las piezas encaradas (la espalda doblada por la mitad a lo largo) y planchar a vapor con precaución.
Toda la prenda se cose a p. de lado (ver pág.

Coser los hombros.
Tapeta delantero derecho y mitad de la espalda: Con ag. nº 4 recoger los p. desde el bajo del delantero derecho hasta la mitad del escote de la espalda, aumentando o men- guando según sea necesario en la 1ª vta.

–b) 8 sts reverse stockinette st, 12 sts pattern st 2 following graph B, 19 sts pattern st 3 following the letter B of graph C, 12 sts pattern st 2 fol- lowing graph B, 8 sts reverse stockinette st.
–c) 7 sts reverse stockinette st, 16 sts pattern st 2 following graph B, 17 sts pattern st 3 following the letter A of graph C, 16 sts pattern st 2 fol- lowing graph B, 7 sts reverse stockinette st.

When sleeve measures –a) 18 1/8” (46 cm) –b) 18 1/2” (47 cm) –c) 18 7/8” (48 cm) –d) 19 1/4” (49 cm), measuring from the start, loosely bind (cast off) all the sts.
Make another sleeve the same.
FINISHING (MAKING UP)
Baste all around the pieces with right sides together (= with the back folded in half length- wise) and carefully block (press) with steam.
The whole garment is sewn using side seams (see basic instructions).
Sew the shoulders.
Button band at right front and half of back neckline: Using size 6 needles pick up the sts from the bottom of the right front as far as the middle of the back neckline, increasing or decreasing where necessary on the 1st row in order to obtain a total of: –a) 168 –b) 172 –c) 176 –d) 180 sts. Work in 2x2 ribbing. Start and fi nish the ribbing with K3.
Buttonholes: On the 3rd row work the fi rst but- tonhole at the start of the neckline form, and work 2 more buttonholes with a separation of 18 sts between them.
After the 8th row bind (cast off) all the sts.
Button band at left front and half of back neckline: Work the same as the right front button band, but without buttonholes and reversing the shaping.
Attach the sleeves = match the centre of the sleeve head to the shoulder seam and make the edges of the sleeve head measure an armhole depth –a) 7 7/8” (20 cm) –b) 8 1/4” (21 cm) –c) 8 5/8” (22 cm) –d) 9” (23 cm) from the shoulder seam. Sew.
With the garment laid out completely fl at, lightly block (press) the recently sewn seams.
Sew the underarm seams and the side seams.
Sew the buttons onto the left front button band.
