importante que muestres tu interés al “coach” en forma profesional.
Es importante responderle a TODOS los “coaches” por medio de tu cuenta de
e-mail de CPOA, ya que muchos servicios de e-e-mail gratuitos pueden fallar o los
mensajes van a la bandeja “SPAM”.

SOLICITAR AYUDA
FINANCIERA
de la Universidad
Si has estado en contacto constante con un coach, el coach ha visto tu video, has presentado el SAT y TOEFL, y ya te inscribiste a la NCAA o NAIA, pero todavía no has recibido una oferta de ayuda financiera, puedes usar esta carta para tocar el tema por primera vez. Recuerda, si la universidad es NCAA Div III, el coach NO tiene
presupuesto para darte ayuda deportiva, solamente sabrás cuanta ayuda recibirás una vez que entregues la aplicación y mandes los resultados del SAT y TOEFL a la
universidad. Además, toma en cuenta que la mayoría de coaches de NCAA I o II, NAIA y JC no te harán un ofrecimiento de beca sin haber visto tu video primero.

carta junto con tu solicitud de admisión (Application Form) solicitando pagar el
costo de aplicación si decides aceptar oferta de admisión a la universidad

NEGOCIAR CANTIDAD DE
AYUDA FINANCIERA
Si ya tienes un primer ofrecimiento de beca, puedes usar esta carta para ayudarte entrar al tema de aumentar la cantidad de beca que recibes. Recuerda, si la
universidad es NCAA Div III, la beca que recibes es basada en tu promedio académico del colegio, los resultados del SAT, y la necesidad económica . Muchas veces no es posible “negociar” una beca en universidades de Div3, porque la universidad te dará la máxima cantidad de ayuda en el primero ofrecimiento. Solamente sabrás cuanta beca recibirás una vez que entregues la aplicación y mandes los resultados del SAT y TOEFL a la universidad. Además, toma en cuenta que la mayoría de coaches de NCAA I o II, NAIA y JC no te harán un ofrecimiento de beca sin haber visto tu video. Normalmente será necesario que entregues la aplicación y los demás requisitos para ser admitido para poder recibir la mejor oferta de beca posible de cualquier tipo de universidad. NOTA: Es común que un coach te pregunte directamente la cantidad que tu familia podría aportar. Te sugerimos conversarlo con tus papas en familia, y llegar a un presupuesto realístico. Si no estas seguro como responder al coach o que cantidad decirle, por favor consulta tu asesor de CPOA y te podremos ayudar analizar la oferta.
