Poems to be studied: . The Procession of the Seasons (Edmund Spencer) . Spring, the sweet spring (Thomas Nashe)
Both poems should be studied and analysed in class.
Students should be taught each poem so they gain an understanding of the language, form and structure.
They can be given short questions to answer which will help further their understanding of the poems and prepare them for the final test.
In the final test, they should be given the essay to do which is at the end of the poetry section.
