En la Argentina, su influencia fue muy importante entre 1960 y 1970 y, aunque la misma haya declinado desde entonces, ello no le resta méritos a quien, como Fromm, con honestidad y poniendo en juego todas sus mejores capacidades, ha intentado solventar y responder algunos de los mayores interrogantes de nuestra época: cuál es la relación que guarda el hombre contemporáneo consigo mismo, con respecto a sus semejantes y en directa referencia a su circunstancia vital, social, religiosa y económica.
