On January 3rd, 2019, we are starting in our Parish a MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE, which is intended to help
cou-ples to understand and appreciate the realities of a lifelong Christian mar-riage. The Course is opened to young couples but also to couples who may be seeking convalidation of a previous civil union. Our meetings will happen on Thursdays at 7:30PM, at St. Thomas Aquinas’ lower church.

Fiesta de su Protectora, la Virgen de la Altagracia. Comenzaremos con una misa solemne en nuestra Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes y des-pués tendremos un compartir. Inviten a todos sus familiares y conocidos, especialmente a los que están alejados de nuestras misas, para que la ben-dición de ese día pueda llegar también a todas sus familias.
NOVENA DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LA ALTAGRACIA: Desde el 12 al 20 de Enero
A las 6:15 P.M. en la capilla de la iglesia de Lourdes. Les recordamos que los Domingos la Novena se rezará después de la misa de las 12:30pm en la Iglesia.

Our brothers and sisters from the Hispanic com-munity will soon celebrate their protective mother, Our Lady of the Altagracia. They invite you to participate in the Mass that will take place on Monday, January 21 in our Parish at 7:00pm. The Novena will be prayed every day at 6:15 P.M. in Our Lady of Lourdes chapel beginning on Janu-ary 12, on Sundays the novena will be prayed after the 12:30 P.M. Mass in the Church.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society
We helped 20 families each week in the month of December: $1,775 with food vouchers and $20 in personal items. You are a key part of this quiet but important work. Without your donations in the St. Vincent de Paul boxes at the back of church, we may not be able to assist some of those who turn to us. Thank you. 6:30pm—7:30pm in the Parish Hall.

The purpose of these retreats is to help men who are open to the possibility of the priesthood to consider a call from God. The retreats are:

• an opportunity to meet seminarians, hear their sto-ries, and see the seminary
• punctuated by conferences and homilies by Cardinal Seán

From the time that we were young kids growing up in Dorchester receiving First Communion, through our marriage, as we brought up our own four boys, and now as grandparents, Boston priests have been a guiding light that we reach out to in different situations that have come up in our lives.
As parents, our faith life has helped us to guide our family. We are an ordinary family, and, like all families, things don’t always go smoothly. The priests we have known through the years, like Fr. Peter Martocchio, have helped us to learn to take things in stride and put our faith in God, and that there is always hope.
While not perfect, ours has been a wonderful life, which has been enriched by many Boston priests who have helped us along the way.
