Fifth Sunday of Lent
March 13, 2016
FROM THE DESK OF THE PASTOR:
Fifth Sunday of Lent, Year C
Isaiah 43:16-21; Psalm 126; Philippians
3:8-14; John 8:1-11
As Lent moves into its final week, God has gath-ered us here today to witness and to ponder the new thing that God is doing. How has your Lent been? Have you made progress on your repent-ance and reconciliation? It’s still not too late! God calls you even now. Just as Saint Paul tinues his pursuit of the goal, so can we all con-tinue to grow in our faith and love of God. God “opens a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters,” says Isaiah in the first reading. Thus, in a seemingly impossible situation, Jesus opens a way, not only for himself, but for the woman accused of adultery. The Lord is indeed doing something new! As we listen to these sa-cred scriptures today, what second chances do you sense that God is presenting to you? How will you respond?
May God’s mercy be with you,
Father Miguel Ceja
Only for the 9:00 A.M. Mass:
Fifth Sunday of Lent, Third Scrutiny –
Ezekiel 37:12-14; Psalm 130; Romans 8:8-11; John 11:1-45Dear friends, on this last Sunday of Lent, we cel-ebrate with our Elect the Third and Final Scruti-ny. As they conclude their Lenten spiritual prep-aration, let us support them with our prayers and be encouraged by them as they witness to the growing gift of faith that God has given them.
Only God can do what we heart in today’s scrip-tures – raise the dead. Ezekiel’s prophecy that God will open people’s graves and have them rise up is fulfilled in our Gospel story of the rais-ing of Lazarus. If God could do this then, what wonders can God do in our lives today?
Father Miguel Ceja

Cuarto Domingo de Cuaresma
Marzo 13, 2016
Del Escritorio del Párroco:
Quinto Domingo de Cuaresma, Año C
Isaias 43: 16-21; Salmo 126; Filipenses 3:8-14; JUAN 8:1-11
Queridos hermanos y hermanas,
¿Cómo ha si-do tu Cuaresma? ¿Has progresasi-do en tu arre-pentimiento y reconciliación?
