Twenty-Eighth Sunday In Ordinary Time
All Souls’ Remembrance Mass Thursday, November 02, at 6:00 p.m.
To honor members of our parish family and other close relatives who have died since All Souls’ Day 2016, we will celebrate a special Mass of
Remembrance. The church takes this day to remember all those who have died and “gone before us marked with the sign of faith.” In faith, we believe that we remain united with our loved ones because the Kingdom
of God is not bound by death. The Book of Remembrance will be displayed in the Narthex, and we invite those, who’s loved one has died in the past year to
write THE NAME OF THE DECEASED in this book. All are encouraged to bring a picture of a deceased relative or friend, no larger than 8X10, for display in front of the Altar. We invite one representative from each family to participate in an opening procession by
carrying a lit candle purchased for $5.00 at the parish office Mon-Thurs or from ushers before 6pm Mass on All Souls’ Day. Candles will remain burning throughout the Mass. After the Mass, all are invited for a small gathering at the Parish Center. Please bring a
dish to share.

Misa de Recuerdo del Dia de Los Muertos
jueves, 2 de noviembre a las 6:00 p.m.
Para honrar a miembros de
nuestra familia parroquial y a
Parroquial. Por favor traiga un plato para compartir. Si tienen preguntas, contacten a Kathy Cho
al 909-797-2533 ext. 225.

THE HEAVENLY BANQUETThe mountain of the Lord described in today’s first reading is a place where there is no more hunger, no more weeping, and no more division of any kind. We need to pause and ponder these images every now and then, especially given the fact that we live in such a fractured world. The responsorial psalm continues to paint a picture of a place where only goodness and kindness flourish. These readings describe the heavenly banquet, to which God calls each of us through baptism and continues to call us throughout our lives. Let us “RSVP” to God’s invitation and live our lives consistent with gospel values so that one day we will be welcomed to the table of the kingdom.
Reino.
Questions of the Week
Question for Children: Why is it important for you to do what Jesus asks of you?
Question for Youth: Each week we are invited to participate in Mass. When you are at Mass, how well do you really participate? How could you be more present in heart, mind, and spirit?
Question for Adults: Using Jesus’ parable as your starting point, describe in your own words who will be welcome and why they will be welcome, at the eternal banquet of God.
¿Quién no será invitado?
Twenty-Eighth Sunday In Ordinary Time
"War broke out in heaven, with Michael and his angels in combat against the
dragon" (Revelation 12:7)
Reflection: The Archangel Michael led the faithful angels in the battle that broke out in heaven when Lucifer rebelled. The devil and his followers thought they could be like God by their own choice. But Michael's name means "Who is like God?" Only God's choice can exalt us to his throne.
The battle between pro-life and pro-choice is the same battle. Some think their own choice, rather than God, that determines right and wrong.
Prayer: Sovereign Lord, may all acknowledge that you alone are God, and that your choice, not our own, exalts us. Amen.
Amen.
