El veterinario oficial de España, abajo firmante, certifica que: / The undersigned, official veterinarian of Spain, certify that:
1. Este certificado se refiere al semen equino descrito, recogido de sementales residentes en un Centro de recogida autorizado y se adjunta su “Certificado de autorización del Centro de recogida de semen equino para exportar a Australia” (Certificado 1) / This certificate relates to the equine semen, as listed above, which was collected from a stallion which was resident on a collection centre and the “Approval of equine semen collection certificate” (Certificate 1) for this centre is attached. This collection centre is currently approved.
2. Durante los 3 meses anteriores a la primera recogida del semen objeto de este envío, el animal donador sólo residió de manera continua en uno o más de los siguientes países: Austria, Bélgica, Dinamarca, Francia, Finlandia, Alemania, Grecia, República de Irlanda, Italia, Luxemburgo, Holanda, Portugal, España, Suecia y Reino Unido / During the three months immediately prior to the first collection of semen for this consignment, the stallion was continuously resident in one or more of the following countries only: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
Estos países han sido declarados libres de las siguientes enfermedades durante los 2 últimos años: / These countries have been free from the following diseases for the past 2 years:
- Peste equina / African horse sickness - Durina / Dourine
- Estomatitis vesicular / Vesicular stomatitis
3. En el Centro de recogida, el animal donador no ha permanecido en contacto con caballos que puedan padecer las siguientes enfermedades: Enfermedad de Borna, Metritis contagiosa equina, Anemia infecciosa equina, Arteritis viral equina, Rinoneumonía equina (virus herpes equino tipo 1, incluyendo el síndrome neurológico), Exantema coital equino, y Salmonelosis (Salmonella abortus equi) / Whilst on the collection centre, the donor stallion and any in contact horses were not known to be suffering from the following diseases:- Borna disease- contagious equine metritis- equine infectious anaemia- equine viral
arteritis- equine viral abortion (equine herpes virus 1, including the neurologic syndrome)- equine coital exanthema, and- salmonellosis (Salmonella abortus equi).
4. El animal donador fue examinado cada día de recogida del semen objeto de este envío, encontrándose clínicamente sano / The donor stallion was examined on each day of collection of semen for this consignment and was clinically healthy.
5. Pruebas para enfermedades (1) / Disease Testing
Las pruebas microbiológicas y serológicas se llevaron a cabo en laboratorios autorizados por el país exportador. Los informes laboratoriales para todas las pruebas se adjuntan a este certificado / Microbiological and serological testing were performed by laboratories approved by the veterinary administration of the exporting country. Laboratory reports for all testing are attached to this certificate.
5.1. Metritis contagiosa equina / Contagious equine metritis (CEM)
Al menos 7 días tras la entrada en el Centro de recogida autorizado, el donador y cualquier yegua empleada, fue sometida, obteniéndose resultados negativos, a una prueba de Taylorella equigenitalis mediante medio de cultivo, recogida 3 veces en intervalos de al menos 7 días de: / Commencing at least 7 days after entering the approved collection centre, the donor stallion and any teaser mares used, were tested, with negative results, for Taylorella equigenitalis by culture of swabs, collected on 3 occasions at intervals of not less than 7 days, taken from:
- Donadores: prepucio, uretra y seno uretral / donors: the penile sheath, the urethra and the urethral sinus.

El donador se apareó con 2 yeguas, de las que se obtuvieron resultados negativos a una prueba de sero-neutralización, a partir de 2 muestras de sangre, tomadas al inicio (a) y a los 28 días del apareamiento (b) / The stallion was test mated to two mares which showed negative results to SNT for EVA on two blood samples; one collected at the time of test mating (a) and another 28 days after the test mating (b).

En cada recogida, se emplearon vaginas artificiales y recipientes nuevos de un solo uso. Todos los productos biológicos de origen animal empleados en la recogida, preparación y almacenamiento del semen se obtuvieron de animales libres de las enfermedades de la Lista de Organización Mundial de Sanidad Animal (OIE) o fueron esterilizados mediante métodos autorizados. Se llevaron a cabo precauciones sanitarias durante la recogida, preparación y almacenamiento del semen como medida preventiva de contaminación. Se añadieron antibióticos autorizados al diluyente seminal en los niveles permitidos / New, disposable artificial vagina (AV) liners and collection vessels were used for each collection. All biological products of animal origin used in the collection, processing and storage of semen were obtained from animals free from OIE List A diseases or sterilised by approved methods.Sanitary precautions were observed during collection and processing of the semen to prevent contamination. Approved antibiotics were added to the semen extender/diluent in generally accepted levels.
7. Semen sexado (si se incluye en este envío) / Sex sorted semen [if included in this shipment]
- Los materiales empleados para la clasificación del semen sexado fueron limpiados y desinfectados según las recomendaciones del fabricante / equipment used for sex-sorting sperm was cleaned and disinfected between animals according the sex semen licensor’s recommendations.
- Se añadió plasma seminal, o sus componentes, para la criopreservación y almacenamiento,
procedente de animales de igual o superior status sanitario / where seminal plasma, or components thereof, was added to sorted semen prior to cryopreservation and storage, it was derived from animals of same or better health status.

Se identificó y preparó bajo supervisión del veterinario oficial en contenedores de nitrógeno líquido: / The semen for export, all of equivalent health status, was identified and placed under the supervision of the official veterinarian in new liquid nitrogen in a container(s) which was either:

8.3. Para el semen fresco y congelado / For fresh and frozen semen:
El material de reproducción empleado para exportar a Australia se identificó de manera legible y no borrable, y se almacenó desde el fin del período de recogida hasta el momento de la exportación, bajo supervisión de veterinarios oficiales, en contenedores sin materiales biológicos distintos del semen, embriones u óvulos de situación sanitaria equivalente establecida en el presente certificado. El material de reproducción no fue eliminado de los contenedores para su posterior preparación ni se incluyó otro material de reproducción, excepto si se realizó bajo supervisión del veterinario oficial en un Centro o laboratorio autorizado (2)/ Reproductive material for export to Australia was identified in a legible and non-erasable manner, and was stored since the end of the collection period until export under the supervision of the Approved Veterinarian(s)* in containers in which no biological material other than semen, embryos or ova of equivalent health status as specified in this Veterinary Certificate was held. Reproductive material was not removed from containers for further processing, or aggregation with other reproductive material unless under the supervision of the Approved Veterinarian at an approved centre or laboratory.

El semen se almacenó en condiciones de seguridad y bajo control hasta el momento de la exportación / The following disinfectants will be accepted by AQIS: 2% available chlorine (eg chlorine bleach), 2% Virkon, or irradiation at 50kGy. The semen was stored under security and under my supervision until export.
