The Gifted and Talented Informational Meeting
will be held Thursday, 18 September, from 6:00pm-‐6:45pm in the Cambridge Library. The meeting is regarding placement in the Heights gifted program. Parent referrals for grades 3 and 4 are due no later than Thursday, 24 September.Check it Out!
The Cambridge PE Department has begun something new and exciting this year – a Twitter account. Having a PE twitter will help Cambridge PE staff to connect and collaborate with Cambridge families and the community, as well as share PE learning with Twitter followers. The class handle is @CambridgePE. The Cambridge PE staff would love for you to follow them as Cambridge students learn the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.The Cambridge Fall Book Fair is quickly approaching!

Cambridge is looking for volunteers to help check out students after they are finished shopping and a few substitutes that may be available if needed. This week in PE the students learned the importance of unplugging the electronics and getting outside to play. As a follow up to this lesson, each 1st grader will have an opportunity to bring home and exercise with their gym friend, Mighty Mule, throughout the year. Mighty Mule loves to use his muscles, so have fun with your child keeping Mighty Mule moving while he spends the week with you. Cambridge PE Preparation:
In order to "Move Beyond to New Heights," it is important that Cambridge students wear their tennis shoes on PE days and pack a "Brainy" snack for school.
