Dear Parishioners and Friends, Peace and Blessings!
First off, I would like to thank all who a ended our Pentecost celebra on last Sunday. A special word of thanks to YAC (Young Adults in Christ) who organized both the Mass and the celebra on a er. It was a great me.
We received word last week that Fr. Joy will be leaving us and moving to our friary in Union City. We thank him for his presence with us. A new friar will be joining us in July.
Congratula ons to our young people who received the Sacrament of Confirma on on Tuesday. May God con-
nue to bless you and stay open to the working of the Holy Spirit.
We are sorry that the bulle ns for Pentecost Sun- day did not arrive on me. They were delivered on Monday morning.
Our Gospel for Trinity Sunday reinforces our un- derstanding of the unity shared by the members of the Trinity. Although the idea of one God in three persons re- mains a mystery, we have the assurance that, as Jesus and the Father share all, Jesus and the Spirit share all.
In His Peace,
\
Queridos Feligreses Amigos,
¡Paz y bendiciones!

To the St. Francis of Assisi Parish community, This message is to thank all that helped and participat- ed in the Synod Listening Sessions.
I also would like to share with you what was done with the gathered information and our following steps.
On May 5, 2022, our Parish Council met with Father Martin and Father Prem to discuss some of the most prevalent themes that parishioners mentioned during the Synod sessions.
Some of the prevailing topics discussed in the surveys and during the listening sessions included: lack of communication and a welcoming attitude, training for ministries, stronger leadership from our priests and parish leaders, and ongoing faith formation. All an- swers and comments were summarized and sent to the Archdiocese of Newark. To learn more about the Syn- od process and the timeline please check the archdioc- esan website.
Now that we have sent our responses to the archdio- cese and to Pope Francis, it is time to take these les- sons learned and move forward as a parish. We will continue to have open Parish Council meetings availa- ble for all parishioners so that you have a platform to voice your concerns. The Parish Council is open to listen and to work together to continue to enliven and unite our parish community.
As our Mission Statement says, "The parish of St.
Francis of Assisi is a diverse community, guided by the Holy Spirit, finding strength through prayer and the Sacraments so we may enrich God’s people." Let us continue to do just that!
Thank you all again for your participation in the Synod sessions, your commitment to strengthening our parish, and for being a member of the St. Francis community.
Many blessings!
Yours in Christ, Yalila Murillo
Archdiocesan Pastoral Council Member
¡Muchas bendicio- nes!
Su hermana en Cristo, Yalila Murillo

During the summer months many go away for the weekends. If you are one of those, enjoy your time away, but don't forget about us. We still need you support to keep us going. We appreciate your continued financial help. God bless you.
