La Ascensión del Señor 20 de Mayo del 2012

El que crea y se bautice, se salvará.

CONTRIBUCIONES SEMANAL Queridos hermanos y hermanas,

Si alguien nos ofreciera un dólar ahora mismo, o un millón de dólares después, ¿Cuál de los dos escogeríamos? Algunos tomaríamos los que se puede ver y lo que se puede tener en el momento presente. Otros elegirían confiar y esperar un poco para recibir algo que es mucho más. La segunda elección requiere algo de fe en la persona que está haciendo la oferta.

En la Ascensión del Señor, es Cristo quien les hace a los apóstoles una oferta similar. Antes de la Ascensión de Nuestro Señor al Padre, sus discípulos se entristecieron por su partida. Ellos preferían aferrarse a lo que podían ver y tocar, lo que estaba presente para ellos en el momento… la persona física de Cristo. Las palabras que Cristo les dio a sus discípulos son similares a las que le dijo a María Magdalena después de Su resurrección. “ No te aferres a mi María, (No me toques), todavía no he ascendido al Padre”. En otras palabras, no nos aferremos a lo que podemos ver.

Lo que ha de venir, la promesa hecha por Dios, el que no puede mentir, “el Consolador”. Este Espíritu es la vida de Dios, y se hará presente y al alcance, no solo de una persona o para de un grupo de personas sino para todos los que lo deseen, “Vayan por todo el mundo y prediquen el Evangelio a toda criatura.” El abundante e infinito Espíritu de Dios le será dado al mundo entero para renovarlo; ya no es una sola alma la que será salvada, sino millones que llegarán a conocer a Dios y a vivir en Él. Desear Su Espíritu es tener esperanza en Dios, aguardarlo es tener fe en Él, y alcanzarlo y guardarlo es vivir como Cristo nos enseñó, sabiendo que Él es con nosotros hasta el fin del mundo.
