1. DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PROYECTO
El proyecto contempla el diseño sismo resistente de la estructura del edificio
correspondiente a la aulas de la institución educativa Juana Caicedo y cuero,
cumpliendo con los criterios de resistencia, rigidez y ductilidad exigidos en las
NSR-10
La edificación esta constituida por una estructura de 3 niveles conformada por
pórticos metálicos arriostrados concéntricamente en cada uno de sus dos sentidos
principales.
Las losas de entrepiso estan conformadas por perfiles metálicos tipo alma llena los
cuales trabajaran en sección compuesta con una losa en lamina colaborante tipo
Corpalosa.
La estructura de cubierta estará conformada por vigas de carga en perfiles de alma
llena, los cuales soportan correas en perfiles tipo perlin para dar soporte a la teja de
cubierta.
2. PARÁMETROS SÍSMICOS
2.1. ZONA DE AMENAZA SÍSMICA- NSR-10 A.2.3
El proyecto se encuentra ubicado en la ciudad de Tulúa, para la cual según la
tabla A.2-1, se encuentra en la región Nº 6, con un Aa de 0.25, siendo
considerada una zona de amenaza sísmica alta.
2.2. EFECTOS LOCALES – NSR-10 A.2.4
De acuerdo al estudio de suelos elaborado por la firma CARLOS H PARRA Y
ASOC, el suelo de acuerdo a la clasificación hecha en el titulo A de la norma es
tipo “D”, con un coeficiente de sitio de Fa=1.3 y Fv=1.9.
2.3. COEFICIENTE DE IMPORTANCIA – NSR-10 A.2.5
El proyecto se encuentra enmarcado dentro de las definiciones del grupo de uso
III (A.2.5.1.4), denominadas estructuras de ocupación normal, y según la tabla
A.2-4 el Coeficiente de Importancia I es igual a 1.25.
2.4. ESPECTRO DE DISEÑO – NSR-10 A.2.6
2.5. FACTOR DE MODIFICACIÓN DE RESPUESTA “R” – NSR-10 A.3.3.
Para este caso según la tabla A.3.3, el sistema estructural utilizado en los dos sentidos
ortogonales es el de pórticos arriostrados con capacidad especial de disipación de
energía (DES), y se tiene que el valor Ro para este sistema es Ro = 5.
2.6. CHEQUEO DE IRREGULARIDADES - NSR-10 A.3.3.3
Cuando una estructura se clasifique como irregular, el valor de coeficiente de disipación
de energía R que se utilice en el diseño sísmico de la edificación, debe reducirse
multiplicándolo por

2.7. MÉTODO DE ANÁLISIS NSR - 10 - A.3.4
Por la configuración y el tipo de estructura en consideración el método que se debe
utilizar para este proyecto es el definido por el titulo A.3.4.2.2 como método del análisis
dinámico elástico.
Para el análisis estructural se ha empleado software tridimensional matricial; programa
ETABS v 9.5.
El programa utilizado calcula el peso propio de los elementos, las solicitaciones sobre
ellos para las diferentes combinaciones de carga propuestas y verifica los índices de
sobre-esfuerzo para cada uno de los elementos de acuerdo con la Norma LRFD-99
(Equivalente a la Norma NSR-10).
2.8. TIPO DE ANÁLISIS ESTRUCTURAL USADO
Para el proceso de análisis y posterior diseño de los elementos que conforman la
estructura principal del edificio se consideraron los siguientes casos:
1. Chequeo de la rigidez de la estructura, mediante la evaluación de las derivas,
para esta condición el edificio fue modelado en su totalidad y analizado bajo el
efecto de una fuerza sísmica producida para el espectro elástico de la Norma
NSR-98, garantizando que las reacciones a carga horizontal que se den a nivel
de cimentación sean de igual magnitud a la cortante basal calculada para la
estructura.
2. Evaluación de Resistencia, para esta condición el modelo fue considerado en su
totalidad, evaluando la estructura para las diferentes combinaciones de carga
establecidas en la NSR-98. considerando las acciones sísmicas de diseño,
calculadas a partir del espectro inelástico de diseño presentado en dicha norma.
2.9. DATOS DE ENTRADA
Como datos de entrada se tienen las coordenadas de los nudos que conforman la
estructura, la ubicación de los elementos respecto a dichos nudos, el tipo de elementos,
la resistencia de los materiales empleados, las cargas sobre la estructura, los
parámetros de diseño de la Norma y las combinaciones de carga requeridas.
2.10. DATOS DE SALIDA
Como datos de salida se tienen las solicitaciones que arroja el análisis de la estructura
y los índices de sobre-esfuerzo de los elementos planteados.
