Father’s Day Novena Masses
If you would like your loved ones to be enrolled in our Father’s Day book, come by the church office and purchase Father’s Day cards. The Fathers names will be printed in a book and will be displayed during the Novena masses in honor of all Fathers. The deadline to turn in the cards with name is on Thursday, June 18 2015.

Clerical Endowment Fund (C. E. F.) Prayer Cards: Cards are available in
the Parish Office for a donation of $2.00 or $5.00. Perpetual Certificates are also available. These enrollments make excel- lent gifts for many occasions. Proceeds from these donations are used to educate Seminarians for the Diocese. The Fund is also used to make low interest loans to parishes for their building programs. This has been a project of the Austin Diocesan Council of Catholic Women since 1948.
Reflection:
We now have resumed the liturgical season in which green is the liturgical color for the season.
The color green is a reminder to us of hope, life and anticipation. Ordinary time, is a season focused on the Lord’s three-year public ministry, His teachings and miracles. It serves also as a reminder that the mission of the church is to share the hope and life of Christ with the world and that this mission is continual. Blessings to all of you!

I would like to give a big welcome to Henry Cuellar, a seminarian for the Diocese of Austin, who will be in residence with us while in completing his Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) with Seton Health Care System here in Austin. Welcome Henry!
Also, we give a big welcome to Sean DeWitt another seminarian for the Diocese of Austin and will be with us during the summer. Sean is currently finishing his studies in Rome, Italy and will be joining us at the end of June. Sean, along with five others, will be ordained to the Order of Deacon on July 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish by Most Rev. Daniel Garcia. We welcome him!

Lumen Gentium Award
Martin Bermudez has been selected as the recipient for
the Lumen Gentium Award for San Jose Parish. Honorees
will be recognized by the bishop during a service on June
16, 2015, at 7 p.m. at the Mayborn Civic Center in Temple,
Texas. Next weekend we will host a small reception for our
honoree, Martin, after all the Masses in the parish hall. All
are welcome!

Servus Dei is a three-day social justice adventure for young adolescents between sixth and eighth grades. The service involvement takes place at local agencies and centers that assist people in need. Summer is often vacation time — but it can also be a great learning time! The diocesan Office of Evangelization and Catechesis is offering a variety of courses to serve the needs of Catholic school religious educators and parish catechists in the Diocese of Austin.

If you plan to Baptize your child/ren (ages 5 and under) in the year 2015, this announcement ap- plies to you! If you are planning to baptize your child/ren in the year 2015 in the months of July, August, or September, we ask you that you come to an orientation session on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at 6pm in the Parish Hall. At this orienta- tion, Mary Arana will share all the information and paperwork you will need in order to baptize in the months of July, August, and September.
If you miss this orientation we will ask you to attend the next orientation, which will be held in the month of October 2015.

Adoption Support: Destined: Families Built by Love is a spiritual support program and monthly playgroup for adoptive families. The June Diocese of Austin Prayer Vigil for Life will be hosted by St. Ignatius, Martyr Parish on Sat., June 20. Mass at 7:30 a.m., followed by Adoration in church and car caravan to Planned Parenthood to pray the Mysteries of the Rosary.
