Term Tests for 9th grade will take place from MONDAY 29TH MAY to THURSDAY 1ST JUNE. The schedule for 9th grade Term Tests is the following.

During this period, classes will begin as usual at 7:30 a.m. and will end at 12:45 p.m. Students must go home once this schedule is completed. Students are not permitted to remain in areas around the school after they have completed their exams.

I. ENGLISH LANGUAGE: 9TH GRADE EFL

2. Correct the sentence for sentence structure (Simple, compound, complex, compound-complex sentences)

3. Run on sentences and sentence fragments

Reading. Candidates read a text and answer a series of questions testing detailed comprehension . Write a Letter. Follow the instructions for the letter. Use each of the 3 bullets equally and follow the way the test says to address your letter. You should base your ideas on what you have read in the passage, but do not copy from it.

 You should write between 1 and 1½ sides, depending on the size of your handwriting.

 Up to 10 marks are available for the content of your answer, and up to 5 marks for the quality of your writing.

 Comprehension- Skim and scan the text

 Examine relevant information from text and find factual details

 Note-taking exercise: Use bullet points at the beginning of each line and write short answers that fit the space on the line. Although your answer must be short, make sure you include all the key information

 Write a summary: Remember no introduction or conclusion and use linking words to write a summary. Include all the key facts, this will mean looking again at the entire text and underlining relevant points. If you use your own words instead of copying from the text, you have more chance of getting a higher mark.
