unpaid pledges. Please make your pledge payments to ensure that our parish

goal is paid in full, otherwise, the parish will have to pay the outstanding balance.

ALTAR FLOWER DONATIONS / DONACIONES DE FLORES PARA EL ALTAR

Do you have a loved one, birthday, or anniversary you would like remembered at Mass? Donating altar flowers is a lovely way to do this. Donations and intentions will be listed in the weekly newsletter. Altar flower donations are $40 for small flower arrangements and $70 for large ones. All donations are tax deductible.

El monte del Señor descrito en la

primera lectura de hoy es un

lu-gar donde no hay más hambre, ni

llanto, ni ningún tipo de división.

Necesitamos detenernos y pensar

sobre estas imágenes de cuando

en cuando, especialmente dado el hecho de que

vivimos en un mundo tan fragmentado. El salmo

responsorial continúa pintando el cuadro de un

lu-gar donde sólo florecen la bondad y la

generosi-dad. Estas lecturas describen el banquete celestial,

al que Dios nos llama mediante el bautismo y

con-tinúa llamándonos a lo largo de nuestra vida.

Res-pondamos a la invitación de Dios y vivamos

nues-tra vida conforme a los valores del Evangelio para

que un día seamos bienvenidos a la mesa del

ban-quete en el Reino.

The mountain of the Lord

de-scribed in today’s first reading

is a place where there is no

more hunger, no more

weep-ing, and no more division of

any kind. We need to pause and ponder these

images every now and then, especially given the

fact that we live in such a fractured world. The

responsorial psalm continues to paint a picture

of a place where only goodness and kindness

flourish. These readings describe the heavenly

banquet, to which God calls each of us through

baptism and continues to call us throughout our

lives. Let us “RSVP” to God’s invitation and

live our lives consistent with gospel values so

that one day we will be welcomed to the table of

the kingdom.
