Term Tests for 9th grade will take place from THURSDAY 26 TH NOVEMBER to TUESDAY 1ST DECEMBER. The schedule for these Tests is as follows:

CHEMISTRY PHYSICS BIOLOGY (10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.) END OF YEAR CELEBRATION
During this test period, classes will begin as usual at 7:30 a.m. and will end at 11:30 a.m. Students MUST GO HOME immediately after each day´s exams have ended. Students are not permitted to remain on any school premises once they have completed their exams.

9TH GRADE EFL STUDY GUIDE- ERICA THIRD TERM EXAM 2015
In preparation for the 3rd term examination, students should study all class notes, journals and discussions. They should also review the 2014 Coursebook, Workbook and Grammar material we have studied so far. This year's exam will have the following format:
SECTION ONE : VOCABULARY
Students will be tested on Lists 1-10 of vocabulary (about 150 words). Vocabulary is necessary to meet the required level of writing required for IGCSE exams.
100 marks are available.
SECTION TWO: READING PASSAGE
Read carefully Passage A, in the Reading Booklet Insert and then answer the question that follows it.
SECTION THREE : COMPOSITION: 5 Paragraph Essay. Use original ideas, a topic will be provided. Students are taught to write a 5 paragraph essay to practise the organizational skills needed for the IGCSE exams.
Students should write a minimum of 500 words
Students will be graded on content, level of writing (vocabulary and structure), usage of transitions within paragraphs and transitions between paragraphs, and organization/ease of flow.
100 marks are available. (

ln ESL, note taking and summary writing plus report writing, e.g. the advantages of young people learning to cook, have been covered.
Therefore, for the exam, revise all and, for grammar, focus on future forms, modals and the passive.
