Resumo: Com o crescimento da demanda energética no cenário atual brasileiro, um dos meios de amenizar este "problema" é através da conscientização, gerando um maior conhecimento sobre energia elétrica e como usá-la de maneira correta àqueles que usam a mesma e dependem dela, para assim poderem contribuírem e repassarem todo esse conhecimento aos outros desempenhando um melhor desenvolvimento energético para todos . Sendo assim, o projeto de extensão universitária "Eficiência Energética na Escola" visa contribuir no processo educativo de crianças e jovens com ênfase nos estudos sobre eficiência energética, sustentabilidade e educação ambiental. Este trabalho abrange reflexões teóricas e relatos das práticas realizadas com turmas do Nono Ano do Ensino Fundamental de escolas de Bagé/Rio Grande do Sul. Desde o segundo semestre de 2017, esse projeto é realizado por docentes, técnicos-administrativos em educação e discentes do Curso de Graduação em Engenharia de Energia da Universidade Federal do Pampa (UNIPAMPA), Campus Bagé..
