Catequésis Comunitaria y Familiar

The Trinity

Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Week of May 30, 2021

Listen to the Word (Matthew 28:16-20)

As you hear Jesus sending out his followers, what strikes you about his words and commands? What image of the church does this give you?

Look into your life

Question for children: Why do you think Catholics make “The Sign of the Cross” when we pray?

Question for youth: How often do you think about God as Trinity?

How do you relate to each member of the Trinity?

Question for adults: As each of us is called and sent by Christ, how have you incorporated this into your own life, whether married, single, in religious life, or ordained?

Activities for the week:

Take these activities to further reflect:

Pray the Sign of the Cross with your family. Use the prayer to bless your children at bedtime. As you pray the Sign of the Cross, trace a small cross on your child’s forehead with your thumb.

Make a holy water font or dish for your home to remind yourselves that you come and go each day in the name of the Trinity. Get some holy water from church. Practice making the Sign of the Cross slowly and reverently. Talk about its meaning for us.

The Church often uses symbols to summarize what we understand about the truths of our faith. Next time you go to church, arrive early and find symbols of the Trinity in your church. What do they tell you about our belief in the Holy Trinity?

St. Patrick is known for his explanation of the Trinity to the people of Ireland. Read a book about the missionary work of this saint.

We are proud to introduce ourselves as the Holy Land Carvings group from the Holy Land. We have come to the United States representing the Christian wood carvers of Bethlehem that rely on the tourism to support their families.

Due to the bad situation and the interruption of the tourist trade, thousands of families in the Holy Land are in danger of having to leave their homes in search of work. Our mission is to bring and sell the Olive Wood Carvings to the catholic Churches in the United States to help the Christian families remain in their homes and support their families. These Christians who make their

livelihood through the selling of their hand carved Olive Wood religious items are depending on us to bring these beautiful carving, such as Nativity Scenes, Crucifixes, Rosaries, Statues, Picture of the Last Supper, and several other religious items to you.

Please look over these carvings that are available to you at the weekend of June 19th & 20th to help support this self-help project that enables to keep the Christians present in the Holy Land. Your help and understanding in this crucial matter are greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail listed below.

Thank you,
