Good News Reflection

What answers are you waiting for?

What don't you know that you hope God will reveal to you? What have you been asking Jesus to tell you that is still unanswered? What teaching of the Church don't you understand or agree with? In this Sunday's Gospel reading, Jesus explains that there is more he'd like to

tell us but we can't handle it yet.

Why aren't we ready for it? Because we have to first let the Holy Spirit prepare us. We have to let God transform something within us, and until we surrender

to that process, the truth is more of a burden than a blessing, which we readily reject.

Everything that Jesus said and did came from the Father through the Holy Spirit. God gave us that same Spirit, that same Wisdom, that same Truth, but the gift is useless unless we submit to the Spirit's purifying

activity.

Of the Trinity, it's the Father who forgives sins. It's Jesus who delivers the forgiveness. And it's the Holy Spirit who sanctifies us and empowers us to go and sin

no more.

In the confessional, the priest is the presence of Jesus and the whole Body of Christ (the Church). Absolution is an action of his Holy Spirit, but it's more

than just the removal of guilt; it replaces the sinful vice with the virtue that will help us avoid that vice in

the future. The Sacrament of Confession is a direct contact with the Holy Trinity who embraces our re-pentance and transforms us to increase our holiness.

To receive this grace, we only have to be open to it and interested in cooperating with God. Humility is

necessary to be teachable and transformable. The unanswered questions in our lives become personal revelations when we earnestly seek to do the

Father's will in unity with Jesus while growing in holiness through the in-dwelling presence of his Holy

Spirit.

Questions for Personal Reflection:

Write a list of questions you have for Jesus. What do you have trouble understanding? After making the list, ask the Holy Spirit to become your Teacher. Ask Jesus

to help you become teachable.

¿Qué respuestas estás esperando?

¿Qué cosa desconoces y que te gustaría que Dios te revelara? ¿Qué has estado preguntándole a Jesús y aún

no te responde? ¿Qué enseñanza de la Iglesia no comprendes o no aceptas? En el Evangelio de este domingo Jesús explica que hay mucho más que a Él le gustaría contarnos pero que aún no podemos

comprender.

¿Por qué no estamos listos para ello? Porque, primero, debemos dejar que el Espíritu Santo nos prepare. Tenemos que dejar que Dios transforme algo dentro de

nosotros y, hasta que nos sometamos a ese proceso, la verdad sería más una carga que una bendición y

rápidamente la rechazaríamos.

Todo lo que Jesús dijo e hizo vino del Padre a través del Espíritu Santo. Dios nos dio ese mismo Espíritu, esa misma Sabiduría, esa misma Verdad, pero el don es inútil a menos que nos sometamos a la actividad purificadora del Espíritu. De la Trinidad, es el Padre el

que perdona nuestros pecados. Es Jesús quien reparte el perdón, y es el Espíritu Santo quien nos santifica y

nos capacita para irnos y no pecar más. En el confesionario, el sacerdote es la presencia de Jesús y de todo el Cuerpo de Cristo (la Iglesia). La absolución es una acción del Espíritu Santo pero es más que la simple remoción de la culpa; reemplaza al

vicio pecador por la virtud que nos ayudará a evitar ese vicio en el futuro. El Sacramento de la Confesión

es un contacto directo con la Trinidad Santa que abraza nuestro arrepentimiento y nos transforma para

incrementar nuestra santidad.

Para recibir esta gracia sólo tenemos que abrirnos a ella y estar interesados en cooperar con Dios. La

humildad es necesaria para poder aprender y ser transformados.

Las preguntas sin respuestas de nuestras vidas, se transforman en revelaciones personales cuando, ansiosamente, buscamos hacer la voluntad del Padre, en unidad con Jesús, mientras crecemos en santidad a través de la presencia interior de su Espíritu Santo.

Preguntas para la Reflexión Personal:

Escribe una lista de preguntas que tienes para Jesús. ¿Qué no puedes entender? Después de hacer la lista, pide al Espíritu Santo que sea tu Maestro. Pide a Jesús

El Misterio

El misterio de la Santísima Trinidad consiste en que Dios es uno solo y en Él hay tres Personas: Padre, Hijo y Espíritu

Santo.

El misterio de la Santísima Trinidad nos ha sido revelado por la Persona, palabras y acciones de Jesucristo. Después de haber

hablado por los Profetas, Dios envió a su Hijo, Jesucristo, quien nos dio la Buena Nueva de la salvación. Este es el mensaje de l Nuevo Testamento. Con sus palabras y acciones, y especialmente en su sagrada Persona, Jesús nos dio a conocer

las más profundas verdades acerca de Dios. La Trinidad es el misterio más profundo.

Jesús nos ha revelado los secretos del Reino de los Cielos. La suprema de sus enseñanzas es el secreto de Dios mismo. Nos ha hablado de la vida de Dios. Nos enseñó que Dios, siendo

uno solo, hay en El tres Personas iguales. Nos dijo sus nombres: Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo.

Jesucristo se presentó a Sí mismo como el eterno y divino Hijo de Dios. Afirmó que es el Hijo, el Unigénito del Padre, igual al

Padre.

Jesús nos reveló más plenamente al Padre. Siempre hablaba de su Padre llamándole por este nombre. Nos enseñó a amar a nuestro Padre celestial porque nos ama. Él quiere ayudarnos en

todas las necesidades de alma y cuerpo. Quiere llevar a sus hijos a su hogar del Cielo.

Jesús reveló la tercera Persona divina, el Espíritu Santo. El Padre y el Hijo, después de la Resurrección, lo enviaron a la Iglesia. Jesús había prometido enviar la tercera Persona, Dios

igual que El mismo y el Padre.

Jesús, el Divino Maestro, habló a sus discípulos acerca del verdadero Dios y los llamó a ser hijos de Dios por el don del

Espíritu.

Honramos a la Santísima Trinidad siempre que tomamos conciencia de que Dios Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo están presentes en nuestra alma. Le honramos asimismo cuando tratamos de entender con la ayuda de la fe que por el Bautismo

estamos llamados a íntima unión de amor con las tres divinas Personas.

The Mystery

The mystery of the Holy Trinity is that God is one and in Him there are three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The mystery of the Holy Trinity has been revealed to us by the Person, words and actions of Jesus Christ. After having spoken for the Prophets, God sent his Son, Jesus Christ,

who gave us the Good News of salvation. This is the message of the New Testament. With his words and actions, and especially in his sacred Person, Jesus made us know the

deepest truths about God. The Trinity is the deepest mystery.

Jesus has revealed to us the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven. The supreme of his teachings is the secret of God himself. He has told us about the life of God. He taught us that God, being one, has three equal Persons in Him. He

told us their names: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ presented Himself as the eternal and divine Son

of God. He affirmed that he is the Son, the Only Begotten of the Father, equal to the Father.

Jesus revealed us more fully to the Father. He always spoke of his Father calling him by this name. He taught us to love our heavenly Father because he loves us. He wants to help us in all our soul and body needs. He wants to take

his children to his home in Heaven.

Jesus revealed the third divine Person, the Holy Spirit. The Father and the Son, after the Resurrection, sent him to the Church. Jesus had promised to send the third Person, God

as He and the Father.

Jesus, the Divine Master, spoke to his disciples about the true God and called them to be children of God by the gift

of the Spirit.

We honor the Most Holy Trinity whenever we become aware that God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are present

in our soul. We also honor him when we try to understand with the help of faith that through Baptism we are called to

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us know and live the truth. To prepare ourselves, we need to open our hearts to receive this gift before we can give it.

Devel-op a daily prayer routine. Talk and listen to the Holy Spirit. This is best done in silence, when we can hear

"Pero cuando venga, el Espíritu de verdad, Él te guiará a toda la verdad ..." (JUAN 16:13)

Jesús envió al Espíritu Santo para ayudarnos a conocer y vivir la verdad. Para prepararnos, necesitamos abrir

nuestros corazones para recibir este regalo antes de que podamos darlo. Desarrolla una rutina diaria de oración. Habla y escucha al Espíritu Santo. Esto se hace

mejor en silencio, cuando podemos escuchar su respuesta.
