Vamos a aprender cómo formar el plural de las palabras terminadas en x, ch, s y sh.
Para formar el plural de las palabras terminafas en x, sh, ch y s, se agega es, al final de la palabra.
Ejemplos: 1) fox (zorro) fox es (fóxis) (zorros) box (bΛks) caja box es (bΛksis) caja En el ejemplo anterior, la es final se lee como is.
2) sandwich (saendwit∫) emparedado sandwich es (saendwjt∫is) emparedados match (maet∫) fósforo match es (máet∫is) fósforos
En el ejemplo anterior, hemos aumentado es al final de la palabra para formar el plural, porque termina en ch .
3) bus (bΛs) bus bus es (bΛsis) buses
En el ejemplo anterior, la palabra termina en s , para formar el plural de esta palabra le añadimos es.

Para formar oraciones interrogativas, en plural, lo único que se hace es ubicar la forma verbal are y ponerla al principio de la oración.
Ejemplo:
oración afirmativa oración interrogativa The foxes are furious Are the foxes furious?

En el ejemplo anterior, hay dos oraciones. Una afirmativa que dice the foxes are furious, y frente a ella encontramos otra oración interrogativa. Observe que en la oración interrogativa, la forma verbal: ARE se encuentra encabezando la oración.
Veamos otro ejemplo:

La expresión: Yes, they are, traduce si, esos son. (ies, dai ar)
Se emplea para dar una respuesta afirmativa, cuando las oraciones están en plural y llevan el verbo to – be (are).
Ejemplo:

En el ejemplo anterior, las palabras: THE BOY , han sido reemplazadas por el nombre: THEY.

La expresión No, they are not... traduce: no, estas no son (no, dai ar not)
Se usa para negar, por eso se llaman respuestas negativas.
Ejemplo:

Are the boys intelligent? No, they are not
Recuerde que la respuesta negativa lleva doble negación No... not.
También recuerde que el sustantivo se puede reemplazar por el pronombre: They .
Veamos otro ejemplo:

Para formar oraciones negativas con to – have, se debe elaborar la negación: Have not.
Las formar negativas para to – have son:
1. HAVE NOT que se usa así:
I have not = Yo no tengo You have not = tú no tienes
We have not = nosotros no tenemos They have not = ellos no tienen
2. HAS NOT que se usa sólo con terceras personas del singular:
She has not = ella no tiene He has not = él no tiene It has not = eso no tiene
Las formas contractas son:

Para elaborar las formas interrogativas, en tiempo presente, del verbo to – have, se utiliza el verbo auxiliar Do.
Do, en las oraciones interrogativas, no tiene traducción.
Las formas interrogativas del verbo to – have para el tiempo presente son:
Do I have? Æ tengo?
Do you have? Æ tienes?
Do we have? Æ tenemos?
Do they have? Æ tienen?

El verbo auxiliar Do, tiene otra forma que solo se usa para el tiempo presente con las terceras personas del singular
Does she have? Æ tiene ella? Does he have? Æ tiene él? Does it have? Æ tiene eso? verbo el verbo
auxiliar to have no cambia
En las oraciones interrogativas, cuando se utiliza el auxiliar Does, el verbo principal, es el mismo (have) {no se debe colocar has}
Ejemplos:
1. Do you have a pen? = tienen un lapicero? (du iu háev e pen?)
2. Does she have a house? = tiene ella una casa? (das ∫i háev e háus?)
Ahora, transformemos una oración afirmativa en una oración interrogativa. afirmativa oración interrogativa
I have a brother Do I have a brother (ai háev e brodr)
Observe que lo único que se ha hecho para transformar la oración afirmativa en interrogativa es colocar al principio, el auxiliar Do. El resto de la oración no cambia.
Veamos otro caso, con tercera persona del singular: afirmativa interrogativa
She has a book Does she have a book?
Observe que en la oración interrogativa, hemos usado el auxiliar Does al comienzo de la oración y, además, el verbo has ha cambiado por have.
I have a bus Æ Do I have bus?
