The Region of Valencia covers a geographical area with a huge variety of ecosystems and landscapes, plus many protected natural areas, including Red Natura 2000, Biosphere Reserves, Starlight Destinations, nature reserves, etc. All these places enable visitors to enjoy the region's wealth of natural assets while practi- sing ecotourism, a form of responsible tourism led by activity companies who guide and interpret travellers through the wealth of natural heritage to be found in our villages, observing the starry skies, identifying and photographing birds, orchids and butterflies, or explo- ring palaeontological history along the Camins de Dinosaures route.

A total of 73 ecotourism experiences are available for travellers who want to take their time to discover and enjoy the Region of Valencia.

DESCRIPCIÓN La primera vez que el visitante accede al cauce del barranco del Infierno de la Costa Blanca se ve asaltado por una sensación casi mística, pues el paisaje que tiene delante no parece real. Antes de llegar a él andaremos por caminos entre zonas de cultivo desde los que contemplaremos una bella panorámica del interior de la Costa Blanca, para a continuación descender hasta el lecho del barranco por un sinuoso camino abierto por los árabes siglos atrás, conociendo su increíble patrimonio natural.

DESCRIPTION The first time you access Hell’s gully you feel overcome by a strange sensation, indeed it is almost mystical as the countryside in front of you doesn’t seem real. The banks of the dry river bed practically touch each other and an enormous amount of stone blocks appears completely covered in white chalk.

It is almost as if an uncontrollable force of torrential rain has sculpted this great passage, more than 15 kilometres in length.

Undoubtedly impressive to both visitors and inhabitants who must have thought it could only have been the work of the Devil, the interminable action of its water throughout thousands of years has not only given rise to gullies or ravines, before arriving we will also stroll through paths of cultivation to later on descend into the gully by a narrow pathway set up by the Arabs.
