COURSE GUIDE TO THE SUBJECT:INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY SOCIAL WORK

Prerequisites: None GENERAL GOALS

1. To know the origin and development of Individual / Family and Group Social Work.

2. Know the objectives, functions and basic principles that guide their action.

3. Identify and evaluate the processes of formation, development and evolution of individuals, families and groups.

4. Know the dimensions of family functioning.

5. Analyze the family as a system and the fundamental elements of such a system.

6. Know the different elements present in the first contacts, that can differentiate the competences and the interrelations between social worker and client.

7. Know the process of social intervention at individual, family and group level, considering all organizational variables that involve the study, diagnostic evaluation, planning and final evaluation of the intervention.

8. Analyze and handle with ease the main instrumental supports of social work at individual and family level.

9. To provide the student with adequate knowledge to carry out the individual and family interview process.

10. To esae students to clearly and articulate the various phases and contents of each moment in the intervention process with individuals, families and groups.

11. To provide the student with the necessary knowledge for the formation of the groups, techniques and instruments of programming and development of the group.

12. Promote critical judgment, reflection, dialogue and debate
