Dear friends,
we are beginning Holy Week,
where we will be meditating and
celebrating the mysteries of the
death and resurrection of the Lord.
With the triumphant entrance of
Jesus in Jerusalem begins his way to
the cross. At this hour Jesus is aware
of being the Messiah. But the image
of his entrance sitting on top of a
donkey changes drastically the
mentality that the people had of the
Messiah. For the Psalms prayed:
Rejoice, daughter of Zion, Behold
thy King is coming. But this king
arrives without an army, humble and
without crown on his head. But it
still arouses the intrigue of the
religious leaders of the people of
Israel. This is what makes them
decide to eliminate him before the
Easter festivities. Today to have the
symbol of the Palms in our hands,
means that we accept Jesus as our
savior, that we are not simple
spectators, but that this messiah I
will follow him to the cross. And on
the cross to discover, the only force
that moved him: love, to end up
confessing like the Centurion. This
man was really the son of God.
Your brother in Christ,
Fr. Carlos J. Borgos
Queridos amigos,
ya
comenzamos
la semana santa, donde estaremos
meditando y celebrando los
misterios de la muerte y
resurrección del Señor. Con la
entrada triunfante de Jesús en
Jerusalén comienza su camino a la
cruz.
cruz. Y en la cruz descubrir, la
única fuerza que lo movió: el amor,
para terminar confesando como el
centurión. Realmente este hombre
era hijo de Dios.
Su hermano en Cristo,
P. Carlos J. Borgos
