MINISTERIO HISPANO

San Gabriel y San Rafael.

PLATICA PRE BAUTISMAL: Para papás y padrinos.

SABADO, 4pm, Iglesia

Sagrado Corazón, Eagle Grove. DOMINGO, 8am, Iglesia San Juan, Clarion.

DOMINGO, 10.30am,

Iglesia San Francisco, Belmond.

Today is Priesthood Sunday

It is a special day set aside to honor the priesthood in the United States. Priesthood Sunday seeks to reaffirm the priesthood of Jesus Christ and its central place in the life of the Church. This day also specifically honors priests, without whom the Holy Sacraments could not be conferred, for a single day out of the 365 days of the year during which they tirelessly serve their parishes. Pray for priests to know and experience a closeness to Our Lord that in turn brings you closer to Jesus. Celebrate and thank a priest today! Pray this prayer for your priest and all priests: O Holy Mother of God, pray for the priests your Son has chosen to serve the Church. Help them by your intercession to be holy, zealous, and chaste. Make them models of virtue in the service of God's people. Help them be pious in

meditation, efficacious in preaching, and zealous in the daily offering of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Help them administer the Sacraments with love and joy. Amen.

—St. Charles Borromeo

Suzanne Deimerly If you would like to have a special intention listed in the prayer corner, you or a family member must call in your request. Requests will be listed in the bulletin for one month.

Why God? Why Christian? Why Catholic?

Evidence for Faith with Anthony Digmann Explore the reasons behind our faith in God, Christianity, and Catholicism with this three-part parish mission, workshop, or retreat. These presentation combine Christian and Catholic apologetics with evidence from science, philoso- phy, and archaeology.

“Anthony Digmann is a gifted and faithful Catholic evangelist. His speaking, writing, and teaching illuminate the truths of the Church for youth and adults alike, and his commitment to both the Church’s mission and the Magisterium is inspiring. I am pleased to endorse Anthony and his evangeliza- tion apostolate”.

— Most Rev. Michael O. Jackels, S. T. D.

Archbishop of Dubuque
