A VERY SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY

We remember our Pastor, Fr. Kevin O'Keefe, as he cele-brates twenty years as a priest. On May 20, 1995, along with nine other priests from the diocese, Fr. O'Keefe was ordained by the Most Rev. Bishop John Keating. Fr. O'Keefe has been selfless in his service to our parish as well as the other parishes in the diocese that he has served.

Please remember him in your prayers and offer your congratulations to him for his years of service to the people of the diocese of Arlington.

ESOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Catholic Charities- Hogar Immigrant Services, are urgently seeking volunteer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teach-ers and Site Coordinators for our 2015 ESOL Spring semester at Our Lady of Angels: 13752 Mary's Way, Woodbridge, VA. The

se-mester begins on May 12th, and ends on June 25th (seven

weeks). Class are held on Tuesdays and Thursday, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

please email volunteer.hogar@ccda.net or call 571-208-1572 x 102. There is still some spaces available.

Free training and materials are provided. No experience required.

Monday, May 25th is a Federal Holiday. The Rectory Office

will be closed. There will not be 6:30 am Mass, nor will there be 6:30pm confessions. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. If you have an emergency, or an urgent need to speak with a priest, please call (703) 494-2444.

MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY

SPECIAL KIDS, SPECIAL NEEDS (PORTO CARAVAN)

Bishop Loverde has once again endorsed Porto Charities “Special Kids, Special Needs Collection” on behalf of intellectu-ally and developmentintellectu-ally challenged youth within the diocese.

Next weekend there will a second collection to assist special

education programs such as the Paul VI and St. Mark’s School Special Education Option Programs, the Helen Keller Institute, Gabriel Home, Special Olympics, and the “Keyboard for Kids” program which provides audio/visual communication capability to special needs students within the diocese. The Bishop has sanctioned this collection as a blessing for God’s special chil-dren, their families and this entire diocese.

VIRTUS CLASS AT OUR LADY OF ANGELS

Two VIRTUS classes will be held at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church on Saturday, June 13th, 2015

The Class will begin PROMPTLY at 9:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m.

The Spanish class will be held in the St. Sophia Room and the English class will be held in the Parish Hall.

JOIN SCOUTING NIGHT AT OUR LADY OF ANGELS

Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 1365 will be hosting a Join Scouting Night on May 27th from 7 to 7:30PM in the Par-ish Hall. All boys currently in Kindergarten are eligible to join the Cub Scout Pack starting on June 1st and boys can remain in the Scout program until they turn 18. The Scout program at OLA provides boys with an opportunity to learn about leadership, enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills, make new friends, and to practice their faith while having a great time. We have Scout activities scheduled throughout the summer, starting with a Cub Scout family campout on May 30-31. SUMMERTIME BARBECUE

Campus Ministry at George Mason University is having a

sum-mertime barbecue for all college students and graduating high school seniors on Thursday, June 4 at 6:30 pm. St. Robert Bel-larmine Chapel, 4515 Roberts Road, Fairfax. It’s a great way to

meet college students from different schools! Our student

Bautismos: Se requiere asistir a la charla pre-bautismal

para poder bautizar a su niño/a. Las charlas se dan cada se-gundo lunes del mes a las 7:30 PM en el salón de conferencias, sótano de la Iglesia. Favor llegar temprano no se admitirá si

porque el 20 de mayo estará celebrando sus 20 años de haber sido ordenado Sacerdote. Fr. O’Keefe fue ordenado por el Señor Obispo, John Keating, con otros Sacerdotes de nuestra Diócesis. Fr. O’Keefe ha sido muy especial y desinteresado sirviendo a nuestra parroquia, al igual que a las otras parro-quias en donde ha sido asignado previamente.
