ANOINTING OF THE SICK
The Anointing of the Sick is not a sacrament for those only who are at the point of death. Hence, as soon as anyone of the faithful begins to be in danger of death from sickness or old age, the fitting time for him to receive this sacrament has certainly already arrived. (CCC 1514)
If a person is in need of Anointing of the Sick, please call the parish office for a priest at 602-242-1300.
If the parish office is closed and there is an immediate danger of death, please call the after-hours emergency number at 602-246-3534. The after-hours number may only be used for life and death emergencies.

VENERABLE MARY WARD
The Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (The Loreto Sisters) were given great cause to celebrate when Pope Benedict declared their foundress, Mary Ward, “Venerable”.
This is the first step toward sainthood. Her cause will now go forward to the next stage in the process which is Beatification and eventual Canonization. We must now help complete that journey to make Mary Ward a Saint with prayer and wide spread devotion.
In that spirit, there will be a Mass Intention: “For the success of the cause for the Beatification of Mary Ward” on the 23rd of every month starting
Jan. 23rd (her birthday) at S.S. Simon and Jude Cathedral.
Please attend these Masses, if you are able, or pray special intention prayers on the 23rd of each month.
We will watch for extraordinary graces received through the intercession of Mary Ward.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
In the Gospel today Jesus says, “Whoever serves me must follow me
and where I am there also will my servant be. The Father will honor whoever serves me.” When we help
the poor we are truly followers of Jesus, servant of the poor. As you support the Society of St Vincent de Paul with your financial gifts, food items or prayers, know that you are a sign of God’s love to those who receive your kindness and you give them the Easter hope and joy.
SVDP pantry is in need of mac & cheese and peanut butter. These items may be left in the Parish Office or gift shop.

It will be the last one this Lenten Season. Thanks to all those in the Mother’s Guild that brought soup and bread last Tuesday.

WANTED: JANITOR/CUSTODIAN
Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral is seeking a self-motivated individual for the part-time position of 20-28 hours per week.
Duties include but are not limited to: Assisting with custodial duties and maintenance throughout the Church, offices, grounds, and school; Assists with parish ministry and event setups; performs other position related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Janitorial experience required. Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance desired. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús dice: "El que me sirve debe seguirme y donde yo esté, también estará mi siervo". El Padre honrará a quien me sirva ". Cuando ayudamos a los
pobres, somos verdaderos seguidores de Jesús, servidor de
los pobres.
Al apoyar a la Sociedad de San Vicente de Paúl con sus dádivas financieras, alimentos u oraciones, sepa que usted es un signo del amor de Dios para

VENERABLE MARY WARD
El Instituto de la Santísima Virgen María (Las Hermanas de Loreto) recibió una gran causa para celebrar cuando el Papa Benedicto declaró a su fundadora, Mary Ward, "Venerable".
Este es el primer paso hacia la santidad. Su causa ahora avanzará a la siguiente etapa en el proceso que es la Beatificación y la Canonización final. Ahora debemos ayudar a completar ese viaje para hacer de Mary Ward una santa con la oración y la gran devoción.
En ese espíritu, habrá una Intención Masiva: "Por el éxito de la causa para la Beatificación de Mary Ward" el 23 de cada mes a partir del 23 de enero (su cumpleaños) en la Catedral de SS. Simón y Judas. Asista a estas Misas, si puede, o ore oraciones de intención especial el día 23 de cada mes.
Velaremos por las gracias extraordinarias recibidas a través de la intercesión de Mary Ward.
