RESUMEN
Se entrega un listado de referencias sobre sistemática, taxonomía y biogeografía de moluscos cefalópodos en aguas chilenas, ordenados alfabéticamente por autores en dos apar tados: zonas costeras y oceánicas (desde el litoral hasta 200 millas náuticas), y zonas insulares (archipiélago de Juan Fernández, isla de Pascua e isla Salas y Gómez). Se han incluido, también, revisiones generales, monografías y resultados de expediciones donde se han descrito o citado especies de cefalópodos chilenos.
ABSTRACT
A list is delivered with references in systematics, taxonomy and biogeography of cephalopod mollusks in Chilean waters, in alphabetical order per author in to separates: coastal and oceanic zones (from the shore to 200 sea miles) and insular zones (Juan Fernández Archipelago, Easter Island and Salas y Gómez Island). General reviews, monographs, and expedition results in which species of Chilean cephalopod have been described or mentioned have also been included.

INTRODUCCIÓN
El conocimiento de los cefalópodos chilenos se inicia en 1782 con el Abate Molina. Posteriormente, varios autores incrementan el número de especies, destacándose, para las zonas oceánica y costera: D’Orbigny (1835-1845), Hupe ((1835-1845), Thore (1959), Roper y Young (1967-1968), Young y Roper (1968), Nesis (1972, 1987, 1993), Retamal y Orellana (1977), Roper et al. (1985), Okutani y Kuroiwa (1985) y Alexeyev (1994a, 1994b); y para las z o n a s i n s u l a r e s : O d h n e r ( 1 9 2 2 , 1 9 2 6 ) , Codoceo (1975), Voss (1979), Redher (1980) y Prado (1983). Recientemente, Rocha (1997) señala un total de 92 especies y 29 familias, asociadas a zonas oceánicas (72) y costera
( 1 4 ) , e i n s u l a r e s ( 6 ) , d e l a s c u a l e s s e desconoce mucho de su biología, y algunas presentan impor tantes problemas taxonómicos. Solo O. rapanui es endémica para isla de Pascua, y tres especies de 16 considerados recursos pesqueros potenciales en aguas chilenas (Roper 1981): O. mimus, L. gahi y D. gigas, figuran en estadísticas de pesca.
La bibliografía sobre sistemática, taxonomía y distribución geográfica de cefalópodos que se entrega en este trabajo se ha ordenado alfabéticamente por autores en dos apar tados: zonas costeras y oceánicas (desde el litoral hasta 200 millas náuticas) y zonas insulares (archipiélago de Juan Fernández, isla de Pascua e isla Salas y Gómez).
