By publishing its monograph “The UVa in Figures”, the

University of Valladolid has, for another year, renewed its

commitment to transparency with the university community

and society. Said publication provides a summary of data and

indicators which might help all members of the university

community when planning the activities our university will be

engaging in, a university which belongs to everybody.

This report forms an important part of the University of

Valladolid Quality Assurance System and as such aims to fulfil

its mission of analysing and reflecting on the supply and

demand of academic courses, how successful academic results

have been, and how of all of these factors have evolved over

time.

Hidden behind what may at first glance seem like cold and

impersonal figures and data lies the effort, dedication and

daily work of all the members of the university community

who strive to forge a University of Valladolid which is

increasingly adapting to the demands of society and which is

ever more devoted to fulfilling its commitments.

Firm in the belief that this organised summary of evidence

may once again afford readers the opportunity to gain deeper

insights into the University of Valladolid, we would like to

thank those who have made this new edition possible for their

dedication and commitment to everybody.

Daniel Miguel San José

CHANCELLOR
