NO has fracasa-do, yo he conseguido mi meta, y tú fuiste parte de mi plan".

Did You Know?
Know the signs of denial Denial is a commonly used defense mechanism for abuse victims. Because they want to believe that things will go back to normal, victims often feel trapped into just allowing the situation to play out. Fear of change can be overwhelm-ing, especially if the victim has been manipulated by his or her abuser. Victims may also struggle with accepting what’s happening because they know their abuser closely, as a family member or friend. It’s important to recognize the signs of denial and how to break through those barriers thatcan keep a victim from true healing. This weekend
retreat will ex-plore the mysti-cism of two of the
20th century’s
profound spiritu-al mentors: French Jesuit sci-entist Teilhard de Chardin, and the American philosopher and contemplative practitioner Be-atrice Bruteau. Whereas Teilhard saw the grand cosmic scheme of Christ in evolution, Beatrice developed an under-standing of the human person in evolution. She invites us to participate in the divine ecstasy that leads to both personal transformation and a new creation. Stephen Coffey is a monk of the Camaldolese Benedictine Congregation engaged in ministries of spiritual direction, retreats, and adult faith formation. He lives at the Monastery of the Risen Christ in San Luis Obispo. Reading Beatrice Bruteau’s The Holy Thurs-day Revolution before the retreat is helpful but not necessary. Cost: per person/shared $240; single $340; commuter $150.
