Praise be God that we have made it through this pandemic. These last months have been hell for everyone. We pray every day for the families who have been impacted by this terrible plague. Now that things are coming somewhat back to “normal,” I am writing to you today to renew and to review your promise that was made a year ago in December of 2019. That was when
we collected the promises from you to commit for some Þve years or less to the Campaign Called
to Renew. If you remember, our parish goal for Þve years was to collect some $395,000. That seemed like a lot and it is, but we all came together and the Þnal pledged amounted to some $743,654. It was almost double what our goal was. As of one year ago in February,2020, we had collected some $75,000. That was really fantastic! But then you know what happened. The
plague messed up everything. I know that some of you received a couple of reminders about your pledges but I knew that it was going to be very difÞcult when so many people were sick, dying, unemployed or whatever. This is why you have not heard
from me for so long because of the terrible impact on so many of our families caused by this virus. I feel that we are coming out of the fog and will be back to normal shortly. At least it looks like it may happen. And so, I am writing to you to see if you
are able to renew your promise and help us reach our goal. Some people are more able than others but hopefully this appeal today will have a positive effect. Enclosed is the envelope that we have used to keep our pledge money separated from our parish collection. If I receive your envelope back through the mail, it means that you have not come back to church so I will send you more envelopes if you need them. Forgive me if you have already completed your pledge. You obviously do not need to heed this appeal. I am grateful for your support. I want to see that AC, handicapped ramp, asphalt job, and kitchen overhaul. We can do it if we just get back into that grateful mood and share what God has done for you. I know that many of
us will receive a promised check from the government for $1,400 for the economic stress caused by the virus. If you really don’t need it, could I suggest that you use part of it to help towards our campaign? It is just a thought. Just to remind you, we
are back in church as of last Sunday. But our Sunday and weekday schedule are abbreviated for now. Hopefully when more people come back, we will add additional Masses. For now, the weekend schedule is: Saturday- 5 p.m., Sunday- 9:00 (English), 10:30, 12 noon, and 1:30. Weekday Holy Hour, Monday to Friday, 4-5, and Mass at 5 p.m. I remind you that we still
are dispensed from Sunday attendance at the present time. We are broadcasting the Holy Hour and weekday Mass as well as the 9 and 10:30 Sunday Masses on Facebook, resurrectionla.com and the website, Resurrection Catholic Church. Finally, our Holy Father declared this year the Year of St. Joseph. He is the Patron and Protector of the Church as well as the Patron of the
Family. His feast day is March 19, this coming Friday. There will be a Novena during the daily holy hour at 4 p.m. and we will pray to St. Joseph to deliver our families from this plague. May St. Joseph look over you and your family. With prayers for you

Alabado sea Dios que hemos pasado por esta pandemia. Estos últimos meses han sido un inÞerno para todos. Oramos todos los días por las familias que se han visto afectadas por esta terrible plaga. Ahora que las cosas están volviendo
un poco a la "normalidad", les escribo para renovar y revisar su promesa que se hizo hace un año en
diciembre de 2019. Fue entonces cuando recopilamos las promesas de usted de comprometerse durante unos cinco años o menos a la campaña llamada a renovar. Si se acuerda, nuestra meta parroquial durante cinco años era cobrar unos $395,000. Eso parecía mucho y lo es, pero todos nos unimos y la última promesa ascendió a unos $741,084. Era casi el doble de lo que
era nuestro objetivo. Desde hace un año, en febrero de 2020, habíamos recaudado unos $143,165. ¡Eso fue realmente fan-tástico! Pero entonces sabe lo que pasó. La pandemia arruinó todo. Sé que algunos de ustedes recibieron un par de
recorda-torios sobre sus promesas pero sabía que iba a ser muy difícil cuando tanta gente estaba enferma, muriendo, desempleada o lo que sea. Esta es la razón por la que no les había escrito durante tanto tiempo debido al terrible impacto en tantas de
nues-tras familias causadas por este virus. Siento que estamos
saliendo de la niebla y volveremos a la normalidad en breve. Al menos parece que puede suceder. Y así, les escribo para ver si son capaces de renovar su promesa y ayudarnos a alcanzar nuestra meta. Algunas personas son más
capaces que otras, pero esperemos que este llamamiento de hoy tenga un efecto positivo. Incluido encontrará un sobre que hemos utilizado para mantener nuestro dinero de compromiso separado de nuestra colecta para la parroquia. Si recibo su
sobre a través del correo, signiÞca que no ha vuelto a la iglesia y así que le enviaré más sobres si los
necesita. Perdóname si ya cumplió con su promesa. Obviamente no es necesario hacer caso a esta apelación. Estoy agrade-cido por su apoyo. Quiero ver ese aire acondicionado, rampa para minusválidos, trabajo de asfalto, y renovación de la cocina.
Podemos hacerlo si volvemos a ese estado de ánimo agradecido y compartimos lo que Dios ha hecho por ti. Sé que muchos de nosotros recibiremos un cheque prometido del gobierno por $1,400 por el estrés económico
causado por el virus. Si realmente no lo necesitas, ¿podría sugerirte que uses parte de ella para ayudar a nuestra campaña? Es sólo un pensamiento. Sólo para recordarles que estamos de vuelta en la iglesia a partir del domingo pasado. Pero nuestro horario de domingos y días laborables se abrevia por ahora. Esperemos que cuando más gente regrese
a misa, agreguemos misas adicionales. Por ahora, el horario del Þn de semana es: Sábados- 5 p.m., Domingos- 9:00 (inglés), 10:30, 12 mediodía y 1:30 pm. Hora Santa de lunes a viernes, 4-5, y misa a las 5 p.m. Les recuerdo que todavía estamos dispensados de la asistencia dominical en este momento. Estamos transmitiendo la Misa y la Hora Santa y de lunes a viernes,
así como las misas dominicales de las 9 y 10:30 en Facebook bajo Resurrection Catholic Church o en la página web de la pa-rroquia: Resurrectionla.com Finalmente, nuestro Santo Padre declaró este año el Año de San José. Es patrón y protector de la Iglesia, así como patron de la familia. Su día de Þesta es el 19 de marzo, este próximo viernes.
