Present Tense of Stem-Changing Verbs (E to IE) 1. Regular Stem-Changing Verbs (E to IE ) – Part I
a. Many verbs that contain e in the stem change the e to ie in all present-tense forms except those for nosotros and vosotros.
b. This change occurs in the syllable directly before the verb ending.
c. The verbs cerrar, perder, and sentir have regular endings in the present tense.

a. In the present tense, the following verbs are irregular only in the first-person singular (yo):

saber to know sé, sabes, sabe, sabemos, sabéis, saben

b. The verbs caer (to fall) and traer (to bring) have an i between the stem and the first-person singular ending (- go).Their other present-tense forms are regular

The verbs oír, decir, tener, and venir are irregular in the present tense
