El material incorpora un exceso de protección que deberá ser eliminado correctamente una vez finalizada la obra, lo que requiriere una primera limpieza específica. Dicho exceso proporciona una protección adicional durante el transcurso de la obra.
Para garantizar el correcto comportamiento del material, la primera limpieza del mismo (limpieza final de obra), con la que se eliminarán los restos cementosos y el exceso de protección, deberá ser realizada según las recomendaciones detalladas a continuación.
A surplus amount of protection has been given to the tiles. This must be properly removed once all refurbishment or building work has been completed, following specific initial cleaning procedures. This surplus protection is designed to safeguard the tiles during the work process.
To guarantee the tiles’ correct performance, the first time that they are cleaned to remove any cement residue and the surplus protection (the final clean-up of the worksite), the guidelines outlined below should be followed.
Due to their surface characteristics, special care must be taken when cleaning polished tiles. URBATEK polished floor tiles feature a new protective treatment, developed using cutting-edge

1. Se realizará una primera limpieza para eliminar los restos de cemento y la suciedad de obra, utilizando máquina rotativa monodisco NILFISK 421 C o de características similares (con disco rojo) y detergente ácido concentrado con la disolución adecuada, siguiendo las recomendaciones del fabricante.

1. The floor surface should be given an initial clean to remove any cement residue or dirt from the work process, using a NILFISK 421 C slow-speed single disc machine or a machine of similar characteristics (with a red pad) and a concentrated acid detergent in the right solution of water, as per the manufacturer’s instructions

4. La limpieza final para la retirada del detergente se realizará de nuevo con máquina industrial de limpieza. 4. To remove the detergent, the scrubber/dryer should be passed over the floor once again.
3. Para la eliminación del exceso de protección, se realizará una segunda pasada con máquina rotativa monodisco (con disco rojo) y detergente en polvo ligeramente humedecido.

PRIMERA LIMPIEZA (FINAL DE OBRA) // FINAL CLEAN-UP OF THE WORKSITE
Una vez colocado el pavimento, si todavía han de intervenir los restantes oficios de la obra, deberá protegerse el material frente a posibles agresiones cubriéndolo con cartones, plásticos, etc.
Previo a la limpieza final de obra, se deberá respetar un tiempo de espera prudencial de aproximadamente 24-48 horas para el correcto fraguado del material de rejuntado

2. Una vez realizada la limpieza con máquina, se procederá a la retirada del ácido, neutralizándolo con agua mediante máquina industrial de limpieza.

Para la correcta limpieza del material pulido se recomienda el empleo de máquinas industriales de limpieza con agua caliente. El disco recomendado para este tipo de máquinas sobre pavimento pulido debe ser de intensidad suave o media (disco rojo).
Por ejemplo, podríamos utilizar el modelo BA 531 de NilFisk o uno de características similares, siendo importante que limpie y seque al mismo tiempo la superficie para que no se vea empañado el material pulido.

To clean polished tiles properly, scrubber/dryers with hot water should be used. The recommended pad for this type of machine is a soft or medium one (a red pad) for polished tiles.
A BA 531 scrubber/dryer by NilFisk can be used or a cleaning machine of similar characteristics, making sure that it cleans and dries the surface at the same time to prevent a cloudy end appearance.

En caso de que la máquina admita detergente, éste deberá ser un limpiador neutro apto para máquinas industriales de limpieza, y en la dosis de uso recomendada por el fabricante.
Nunca se deberá emplear ceras ni jabones aceitosos o coloreados, ya que pueden producir un efecto de empañado sobre el material, ni productos que puedan contener ácido fluorhídrico.
If the machine can be used with detergent, a neutral cleaner for scrubber/dryers should be used in the right proportion, as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
Never use wax or oil-based or coloured soaps, since they could leave a cloudy film, neither use products that contain hydrofluoric acid.
La nueva protección que incorporan los materiales pulidos de URBATEK facilita la limpieza de los mismos frente a las manchas más comunes que ocasionalmente pueden afectar a un pavimento, ya sea al derramarse o entrar en contacto con determinadas sustancias (café, pinturas, etc.).
Es muy importante el tiempo que permanece la sustancia sobre la superficie de la baldosa, por lo que es recomendable limpiar la zona lo antes posible, de este modo se evitará que se seque y podrá limpiarse con mayor facilidad.
Para la limpieza de manchas específicas se recomienda seguir las instrucciones detalladas en las tablas de las siguientes páginas.
URBATEK polished tiles come with a new protective treatment that makes it easier to clean typical marks or stains origined by the remains of spilled liquids or through contact with certain substances (coffee, paint etc).
The length of time that the substance is in contact with the surface of the tile is crucial, and it is advisable to clean the surface as promptly as possible so that the stain does not dry and become harder to remove.

Consejos para un correcto mantenimiento del pavimento:
Se debe conservar el ambiente libre de suciedad utilizando alfombras o felpudos en los puntos de acceso, de esta forma evitaremos que entre en contacto suciedad abrasiva con la superficie pulida.
También se debe evitar manchar el pavimento con carbón micronizado (negro de humo). Además, hay que evitar sobrecargas o caídas de materiales puntiagudos.
Advices for a correct maintenance of the pavement:
To preserve the environment free of dirt we must use carpets or doormats in the points of access, this way we will avoid contact among abrasive dirt and polished surface.
also It is necessary to to avoid stain the pavement with micronized coal (lamp black). We must avoid overloads or falls of sharp-pointed materials.

Para la limpieza de manchas de neumático debería ser suficiente el uso máquina industrial de limpieza y agua. Cuando el paso continuado de vehículos genere manchas persistentes en el pavimento puede ser necesario una limpieza más específica.
A scrubber/dryer and water should suffice to remove tyre marks.
When continual vehicle movements lead to persistent marks on floors, a more specific cleaning process might be needed.
