From the Pastor’s Desk
Wednesday is the first day of school. I’m excited to see the students, faculty, and staff filling the halls of All Saints Academy once again. Our goal this year (and every year) is to share the gospel with our young people and to mold them into productive, health citizens. I am grateful for all of the support Christ the King parishioners give to our school. The church and school benefit mutually from each other, and it would be impossible for one to exist without the other. In other words, the two communities are united in building up the Kingdom of God on East Livingston Avenue. I ask our parishioners to 1) pray for a successful school year at All Saints Academy, 2) participate in school activities and fundraisers, and 3) encourage our children to do their best in every aspect of their Catholic education. Let us take seriously our responsibility to guide our students into a deeper knowledge of Christ and the world he created.

Year of Mercy: Pilgrimage to Washington, D.C.! We are taking a pilgrimage to several Catholic shrines in Washington, D.C. We will leave from Christ the King on Friday, Oct. 14, at 5:30 a.m. and return late on Saturday, Oct. 15. Cost: $200 per person, shared double occupancy or $250 per person single room. The price includes chartered motor coach to and from D.C., hotel accommodations and dinner for Oct. 14, hot breakfast at hotel, driver gratuity, and all guided tour fees. El miércoles es el primer día de clases. Estoy ansioso por ver a los estudiantes, profesores y personal llenando los pasillos de All Saints Academy una vez más. Nuestra meta este año (y cada año) es compartir el Evangelio con nuestros jóvenes y moldearlos en ciudadanos productivos y sanos. All Saints Academy Catholic School
