2. El PASADO SIMPLE del resto de los verbos se forma de dos maneras distintas, depende de si el verbo es regular o irregular.
Hay una lista de verbos irregulares; si el verbo que queremos conjugar no está en esa lista, ¡¡¡ES REGULAR!!!
2.1 VERBOS REGULARES
o En afirmativo, se pone el sujeto + –ED o –D al verbo Maggie … (live) in a 3-bedroomed flat
Maggie LIVED in a 3-bedroomed flat
o En negativo, se pone el sujeto + DIDN’T + verbo en infinitivo Maggie … (not/live) in a 3-bedroomed flat
Maggie DIDN’T LIVE in a 3-bedroomed flat

REGLAS ORTOGRÁFICAS o Si el verbo termina en:
o –Y: Tengo que fijarme en la letra que lleva delante de la –Y:
Si la letra de delante de la –Y es una vocal, la –Y se deja y se añade –ED
Play > playED
Si la letra de delante de la –Y es una consonante, la –Y pasa a –I y se añade –ED
Study > studIED
2.2 VERBOS IRREGULARES
En la lista de verbos irregulares aparecen 3 columnas más otra de la traducción:

REGLAS ORTOGRÁFICAS
o Cuando el verbo termine en –E le quitamos la –E y le añadimos –ING LIVE > LIVING
o Cuando el verbo tenga 3 o 4 letras y la secuencia sea: CONSONANTE + VOCAL + CONSONANTE, la consonante final se dobla !!!
RUN > RUNNING SWIM > SWIMMING
USOS DEL PASADO CONTINUO:
1. Acciones que estaban ocurriendo (pero no estaban acabadas) en el pasado

2. Se utilizan con WHEN (cuando) y WHILE (mientras) She WAS SLEEPING when I phoned her
