THIRTY-SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
November 11, 2018 Collect Prayer Almighty and merciful God, graciously keep from us all adversity, so that, unhindered in mind and body alike,
we may pursue in freedom of heart the things that are yours.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Scope Out Your Surroundings While Children Play
Parks are great places for children to play freely, test limits, and make new friends. But because they’re such popular play zones, that makes them attractive spots for predators. Parents can take concrete steps to ensure their children’s safety when they go to local parks and playgrounds. Take note of the people around you — especially adults who are alone in the area, on the playground or in nearby cars. Notice the families nearby and keep track of who is playing with your child. Paying attention to your surroundings can help you more fully enjoy your time with your children, all while keeping them safe.
Thirty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time November 11, 2018
PRAYER FOR
HEALING VICTIMS OF ABUSE
God of endless love, ever caring, ever strong, always present, always just: You gave your only Son
to save us by the blood of his cross. Gentle Jesus, shepherd of peace, join to your own suffering
the pain of all who have been hurt in body, mind, and spirit
by those who betrayed the trust placed in them. Hear our cries as we agonize
over the harm done to our brothers and sisters. Breathe wisdom into our prayers,
soothe restless hearts with hope, steady shaken spirits with faith:
Show us the way to justice and wholeness, enlightened by truth and enfolded in your mercy. Holy Spirit, comforter of hearts,
heal your people’s wounds and transform our brokenness.
Grant us courage and wisdom, humility and grace, so that we may act with justice
and find peace in you.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
ORACIÓN PARA
SANAR VÍCTIMAS DE ABUSO
Dios de amor infinito,
siempre bondadoso, siempre fuerte, siempre presente, siempre justo: Tú diste a tu único Hijo
