School Attendance Review Team (SART)
Laws of compulsory education.
Education Code Sections 48200, 48260-48263 identify parent’s responsibility to send their children to school, and they also define a habitual truant.
The SART serves as a site intervention before the student and family are required to attend a hearing with the School Attendance Review Board (SARB).
