Travelling to the hotels / Ir al Hotel

After passing through immigration and customs, you should follow signs to

“TRANSPORTE OFICIAL” booths. Please be aware that in immigrations you might have

to pay a local tax.

Regarding transportation, there are two options:

1. Individual official taxi: Cost $23,000 CLP (USD$ 34 approx.) for up to 4 people. Look out for taxis that are labeled “TAXI OFICIAL”

2. Group Van: CLP $13,000 (approx USD $ 19) per person. There are two companies - TransVip and Transfer Delfos.

Travel time from the airport to the hotel is 20 minutes by individual taxi, 35-40 minutes by group transport. We recommend that you use only official transport and that you pay at the operator’s booth. You can pay by credit card and also in US dollars.

El tiempo de recorrido entre el aeropuerto y el hotel es de 30 minutos en taxi individual y 40-45minutos en compartido.

Es recomendable sólo usar el transporte oficial del aeropuerto y pagarlo en los módulos señalados. Este se puede pagar con tarjeta de crédito y USD.

To get around, you can use public transport or take taxis. The public transport network consists of buses and the subway. In general, no matter where you are traveling to and from, you will find that there are several different routes.

In summer time Santiago usually enjoys a warm temperate climate. The average temperature is between 15-18° in the morning and 28-30° C in the afternoon, dropping to 18-20° in the evening.

Estamos en el verano austral así que no es necesaria ropa muy abrigada. La temperatura promedio puede ser hasta 30° C al medio día, pero en las mañanas y en la noche puede ser más fresca pero no baja de 15° C.

The currency in Chile is the peso (Ch$). You can exchange cash and travelers checks in

Casas de Cambio (exchange houses), as well as some banks, hotels and travel

agencies.

Credit and debt cards are widely accepted for most transactions, so you will not need much cash.

La moneda es el Peso Chileno. Se pueden cambiar cheques de viajero y efectivo en todas las casas de cambio, en el hotel y algunos bancos.

Las tarjetas de crédito y débito son bienvenidas en prácticamente todos los comercios por lo que no es necesario traer mucho efectivo.

• US$1.00 = $700 (Sep. 2015, average approx.)

• 1.00 euro = $792 (Sep. 2015, average approx.) You can exchange your money into pesos at:
