> Insert the Battery

1. Remove the battery compartment cover. Use your thumbs to press down on the battery compartment and slide the cover upward.

2. Insert the battery into the battery compartment and gently press down until it clicks into place.

3. Replace the battery cover.

> Charge the Battery

1. Plug the phone charger into an outlet.

2. Plug the other end of the charger into the phone’s charger or accessory jack.

> Turn the Phone On

Press and hold End/Power to turn the phone on.

Get Your Phone Ready

> Activate Your Phone

If you bought a phone at a Sprint Store, it is probably activated and ready to use. If you received it by mail, it may activate automatically when you first turn it on, or you may need to follow a few simple steps.

1. Press Menu/OK > Web. (There is no charge to use this service during phone activation.)

2. Follow the onscreen prompts to update your profile and activate your phone.

3. Your phone should turn off and then back on. If it doesn’t, press and hold End/Power to turn the phone off and then press and hold End/Power again to turn the phone back on.

4. To confirm your activation, make a phone call.

If your phone is still not activated, call Sprint Customer Service at 1-800-SPRINT1 (1-800-777-4681) from any other phone for assistance.

1. Press Menu/OK > Settings > Display > Language.

2. Select English or Español and press Menu/OK.

Get Your Phone Ready

All unanswered calls are automatically transferred to your voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off. You should set up your voicemail and personal greeting as soon as your phone is activated:

1. Press and hold 1.

2. Follow the system prompts to create your passcode and record your name and greeting.

To use the phone’s menu, press Menu/OK >

Messaging > Voicemail, and then press Talk.

1. Dial your wireless phone number.

1. Enter a phone number using your keypad. (If you make a mistake while dialing, press Back to erase.) 2. Press Talk.

3. When you’re finished, press End or close the phone.

2. Select Contacts, Mobile #, or Email.

3. Enter a wireless phone number or email address and press OK (left softkey).

4. Use your keypad to enter a message or select Options to choose from preset messages or smileys.

5. Press Send (left softkey).

> Take a Picture

1. Press Menu/OK > Pictures > Camera to activate the phone’s camera. (You can also press the Camera key.)

2. Using your display as a viewfinder, aim the camera lens at your subject, and press Menu/OK.

3. Press the Camera key to return to Camera mode, or press Options (right softkey) to explore other options, including sending the picture using Sprint Picture Mail.

Messaging and Pictures

1. Enter a phone number and press Options (right softkey) > Save.

2. Select New Entry or Existing Entry.

3. For New Entry, enter a name, select a category for the number (such as Mobile, Home, or Work), and add other information as needed.

For Existing Entry, select the entry, select a category, and add other information.

4. Press Done (left softkey).

2. Use your navigation key to scroll through the entries, or use your keypad to enter the first few letters of the Contacts entry.

3. To display an entry, highlight it and press Menu/OK.

To call the entry’s default phone number, highlight it and press Talk.
