We will celebrate the feast at our usual morning mass at 9:00am.

The Silent Auction date is set for December 9-10.
St. Paul Altar Society will be having their anual silent auction. We always count on our parishioners for dona- tions of baskets, and any items that are new or gently used. If you have any of these items, please leave them in the church office labeled "Silent Auction". Some of the themes we use are:
Western—Sports—Kids (boys & gi- rls) - Babies - Pets-Wine-Crafts—
Dishes—Religious - Gardening - Food and many more.
We are also in need of Christmas tissue paper and baskets. We can ma- ke any kind of basket depending on our donations. Thank you for your continued support in all our fundra- ising projects.

Silenciosa La Fecha de la Subasta se establece

La Sociedad del Altar de San Pablo tendrá su subasta silenciosa anual.
Siempre contamos en nuestros feli- greses para donaciones de canastas y cualquier artículo que sea nuevo o suavemente usado. Si tiene al- guno de estos artículos, por favor déjelos en la oficina de la iglesia marcada "Subasta Silenciosa".
Algunos temas que usamos son:
Western — Deportes — Niños (muchachos y muchachas) - Bebés - arte— vino— Animales domésticos — Platos — Religioso - jardinería - Comida y muchos más.

The Novena will begin on December 3rd and will end on December 11th It will be held here at church at 7:00 p.m.
The matachines will perform on all the days of the novena.
Everyone is invited to come cele- brate.

Season of Advent
For many centuries, dur- ing the four weeks of Advent, one Catholic custom has been to place a crown in the center of the dining room table. Branches of greenery are placed around it (the symbol of life without end) and four candles are placed inside the crown.
At the family meal in the first
week, they light the first candle and pray for the coming of Christ, for peace in the family and peace in the world. In the second week, they light two candles and pray that the wishes of the family will increase just as the light has increased. In the third week, they light the third candle and in the fourth week they light all candles. The family can buy a simple circular ring for a few dollars, or make the crown from a coat hanger or Styrofoam or what- ever the family chooses to use.
La Estación de Adviento
En la antigüe- dad, durante las cuatro semanas de la estación de Adviento, una costumbre que la gente católica tenía era poner una corona en el centro de la mesa. Ro- deaban la corona con ramas de ho- jas perennes (el símbolo de la vida sin fin) y ponían cerca de la guirnal- da cuatro candelas o velas.

I believe our attempt to get the
ESL program started at this time
is too ambitious. People have good will but not enough time as the holidays approach. So we will wait until the New Year to begin the program.
If anyone is willing to help with an ESL program in any way—teacher, helper, etc., please call the office and let us know. Also, it you are interested in learning more English or Spanish, please call the office and leave your information. Hopefully, this infor- mation will allow us to get off to a good start in the New Year.

In the month of January we will delete the names on our prayer list and begin with a new list of people to pray for. If you have the name of any person you wish us to pray for, phone the office. If you wish the name of a person who is al- ready on our list to remain, just let us know.
